Day 2 - Once Upon a Time/Happily Ever After review
Part 5
We were in the hub waiting for the shows to start. I forgot to mention, if you look at the last picture of the last update towards the middle on the left you can see a "Move it, Shake it" float. It was broken down in the circle around the hub and had been there since the last parade. They finally got it moving within 10 minutes of OUAT starting!
So first up was OUAT.
For those that don't know, it it based around Mrs. Potts telling Chip some nighttime stories/fairytales. It was cute, and I liked certain parts, but I wasn't wowed. I felt like I really had to strain to see some of the castle projections, which made it hard to get into. You would think that where we were standing wouldn't be too bad of a spot, but I feel like we missed some aspects. So overall..meh.
Next up was Happily Ever After.
(Sorry those might be out of order)
I will say that the lady in front of me holding up her cell phone for the ENTIRE THING was such a distraction but I still tried to pay attention and really take it in. There were some things I really liked, and other things I didn't like. Again with the castle projections, I couldn't see most of them, so I feel like I didn't get the whole picture. I am also NOT a fan of the music. What did I like? I liked how the fireworks were shaped to the songs. For instance, the Moana ones were swirls and Toy Story had boxes/blocks. I also like the lasers.
All in all... I MISS WISHES! I don't like HEA and maybe it will grow on me someday, but not yet and I am sad about it.
Mom liked both, but she had never seen Wishes so she didn't have anything to compare them to. She also wasn't blown away. After the shows we decided to try to hang for a bit to let the rush of people leaving pass. We walked towards the Christmas shop and then Mom had to use the restrooms so we headed to the Tangle Tinkle Spot. Once over there I remembered something that was on my must do list that I had forgot! So after we used the facilities, we stood in line, even with the cold temps!
Continued next post.
