PART 7!
Ok so it's been a good three months since I updated this... oops! BUT in that time I have booked myself another trip to DLP in August. Different friend and a long weekend on site! Exciting!
Anyway I thought it would be a good idea to wrap this TR before I even think about doing a PTR. So on with the show...
We had, had much fun exploring FL, but the temperature was really dropping and we had some time before we had to get to Thunder Mountain for our FPs, so we decided to escape the cold by exploring Sleeping Beauty's castle. I had no idea this exhibit was inside, but I thought it was really sweet.
After visting Aurora we headed downstairs and drooled over the jewellery and crystals in the beautiful shop in the castle. And finally we faced the fiercest of foes in the depths of the castle... The Dragon!
We emerged victorious thanks to Lia's mighty sword, and ambled over to Frontierland, pausing to dance like idiots in front of the castle and of course, take some more dusk pictures!
At this point the battery level on my camera was looking extremely ropey, so I shut it off for a while as I wanted to make sure I had enough juice for the fireworks.
We used our fast-passes for BTM and were on the ride in about 12 minutes. Now, at this point the sun has set, and I have to tell you folks.... Thunder Mountain in the dark is a whole other experience altogether!! It's so intense, going through the tunnels you can't see a hand in front of your face, and you're just whizzing along.... if you're a thrill seeker, I would say you HAVE to ride this after dark. I will be when I go back next month.
So, that definitely woke us up. By now it was about 7:15 and we were game for some more thrills! So we said goodbye to the Old West and headed to the only land we had left to explore... Discoveryland!
