August 25, 2001--We are ready to begin our adventure to WDW/Universal!

10 am our ride comes to take us to the airport. No real discernable traffic until a few exits before the airport... but we got there in time.

No line at the USAIR ticket line..but the rudest lady possible in the ticketing area.. No hello, good morning but barked out "ID!" "DESTINATION"... She had a bee in her bonnet that morning, btu we didnt care we were on our way

Flight itself was uneventful, the connection in Charlotte was painless, and only two gates away.

Then.. there it was Mother Lode.. MCO airport! We usually always drive to Orlando so to see MCO in all its glory was great. We were giggling over the announcer in the airport shuttle to the other area.. he does the monorail voice over as well... Jeff and I got a severe fit of giggles when we heard it for the first time and attempted our version of "por forvor.....etc"

Everyone either a) thought we were crazy or b) we dont get out much...

Now luggage/rental car time... Luggage fairly painless, rental car, lines were a bit long. As our time came up, DH found out that there was a Mustang Convertible available instead of our ranger pickup.... Guess what we chose? Of course the convertible. It was white with a tan interior..smallish trunk. Of course the first thing we do it put the top down on that baby.. and pull out of the parking garage.. and then we were greeted with our Welcome to Florida thunderstorm... we just laughed and were on our way....

All Star Sports was not crowded when we got there. We were waited on Nathan, a CP participant, who was very helpful. We were given 2356, in the basketball building..close to the parking lot, but further from food court/front of the buiding. WE were put on the list for a King room for the next day...

AFter settling in, we decided to take in SeaWorld for two hours or so. We had seven days of SeaWorld included with our Discovery Cove admission, and we were determined to use it.... Next stop SEA WORLD.....
