Good Afternoon, Cousins!
I'm pleased to report a generally good weekend, with 6M Saturday, 4M of incline walking Sunday, and 4M this AM. I feel like I'm getting back into my groove with working out and eating better. I also lost the vacation lb and one more, so I was quite pleased with last week.
And in a more social vent, speaking of tv, anyone watching 24? I took last season off, but I'm glad to be back with Keifer.
My other Monday night tapings include Castle and Ghost Whisperer. I didn't watch GW as it appeared new, so now I catch 4 episodes on SyFy. I didn't expect to like it, but now I'm hooked. I also really like Castle. How can you go wrong with Nathan Fillion?
I read
U is for Undertow this weekend. I really liked it, and was glad I read it. I gave up on "T" in the first chapter because I couldn't handle the subject matter (elder abuse), but for some reason I was ok with this one -- equally awful topic, but I couldn't put the book down.
I'll be happy to join the new thread -- and I'll be there for the resurrection of the Monday Mixer! (You know I can't paste the link, so someone more savvy than I needs to start it
) Dennis is also happy to continue as a cousin -- he doesn't post, but if we need him for mileage or minutes, or a wry comment about our cult, he's available.
Allie! Always happy to welcome new cousins!
An update on my 2011 WDW plans -- I have decided to do the Half again next year, and then bump up to a Full in 2012. After receiving all kinds of great advice, I really think I need another year to get into better shape so I will enjoy the marathon experience, I suspect I'm only going to do one, so I want it to be something I'm looking forward to, rather than afraid of. Also, it does look like I *might* be able to do the DL Half this year, and I like the idea of doing the that Half then starting training for the WDW Half, without confusion (mostly in my mind) about what the heck I'm doing.
Corinna -- I am eager to do the Full in 2012! I will be finishing far behind you, but we will both be training for the same race!
How is CASH? My goodness, you had quite the weekend. I hope this week is less stressful and more healthy for everyone.
And good call not doing that Half, we need our
Corinna fully-functional.
Richard -- I wondered what you guys would think of
Caprica. I am looking forward to seeing it progress. I got it on Netflix, so I didn't have any blurred parts -- it made it a little edgier. It took me almost the first hour to really get into it, and even then...I'm going to give it a little more time, I think setting this up, particularly for people who didn't watch
Battlestar, may have been the cause of some of the slowness.
Mel -- Wow, a tri! It's great to give yourself a new challenge, and I know you will enjoy getting ready for this one.
Debra -- Thank you for serving as our fearless leader! I know I speak for everyone when I say we really appreciate all the time and effort you put into Team Ohana this year!
Sending a big
to
Julie, Jen, JenB, Butch, Jeanne, Kathy and Jackie!
Everyone have a fabulous week!
Maria
