it came clear that the weather in PR was also suitable to healthy, unlike the states covered in ice and snow.....she was web viewing Oregon TV stations for photos of the 260,000 without power because...

Of the ice storm that is sweeping not only the state, but all across the continental USA. She wanted to do something to help, and so...

...so she found a box of light pectin and prune citrus blossoms on the interior of the fruit trees that would be voided because of lack of polination. she preserved the waxy flowers in the waxy pectin in the tiny jars she had pruchased for her product and sent them to the continent "What was fragrant, but now gone....soon comes to fruit"....giving hope to those.....

Who were still struggling without power.

Of course they were surprised when they opened the boxes and saw the WAXY things. It turns out that with the matches they had they were being sent a new heat source!

Always looking for alternative heat source....the pioneers who traveled across the US use buffalo chips, the industrial revolution broght coal, the GreatDepression brought dams....and the 70s,,, well it brought cans of sterno....the emgerncy back-up found in every cupboard.....that served no purpose...other than cooking ramen noodles over the waxy solid in an alumincan can. But with the package, they were lucky, for few folks had matches to light candles or sterno cans in the deptsh of the basement. luck was their partner, as the book of matches, the only matches in the house, came from the casino....

...took them home and wrapped them in alummin foil and then put them in a plastic bag. Participation in scouting activates gained the knowledge that matches could be get wet anytime because.....

Of humidity, and being carelessly left out in the rain. Not that rain was coming common. At any rate, the ice storm was over, there was no longer any need for the waxy things. So, they began to wonder....could they be used for....

Petals. Of course, repurposing that no longer in need or unable to sustain useability. The red tips of the wood matches would the brightness found on each petal, the raw wood would extend from the center of the flower, maybe a button could be the center.....

and so it happened there was now an art colony with items for sale!

the studio was named " Go ahead....light my day!". It was a repurpose studio and gallery of items that created light...light bulbs to re-crafted wax items (candles no included in the gallery, just the used wax from unused candles found at gragae sales and etc)...old lanterns to useless lamps that for a $1.00 no no one wants to buy. Carmel-by the Sea was perfect art colony.......

And was often the subject of Sunday newspapers ”Places of Note” articles. So, one day I decided to see for myself what it was all about!

but first one must seek advice on the internet how to travel along hwy 101 and hwy 1. Folks love to give advice on how to travel in the landscape in which they live....yet they do no expound on the landscape itself. So a book was purchased and a note was found inside the pages on the section by Carmel-by-the sea.....

because it was storefront of some peculiarity on HWY 1, first there was no parking in front of the store...because in all the excitement finding the store you lost track of the aviable parking spots...so when you travel up to the California U-turn allowed intersection on tiny HWY 1 .. you wonder aloud... because you gotta . ask yourself one question Do I Feel lucky
