Rivers of Light Dining Package Lookout Thread - NOW ACCEPTING RESERVATIONS

We just returned and didn't book a ROL package, and there was so much seating for Fastpasses that you didn't need a package to get a great view. We had fastpasses for 2 different nights and only saw it for 1 night, (this is just my opinion but I didn't find the show very interesting- like it was just thrown together with not much thought) had alot of filling time to extend the show. AK is my favorite park and spend several days there every trip. I have loved every show that Disney had made, that's why I was so surprised by ROL, I was expecting to be blown away. It was worth seeing once, but have no plans to see again.

So I'm a little conflicted on doing the ROL or not. We currently have a ROL dining package reservation at 3pm at Tusker House with I'm assuming the 6pm showing. This is our only day at AK and I'm worried that we are going to be wasting 3 hours in a restaurant. Are we really in the restaurant for that long or do we eat and then leave and come back. Any advice would be great!

Oh no, you aren’t there for 3 hrs! We had a 1-hr dinner, then got our passes and went out on other rides for a bit. Before showtime we went over to the theatre and got seats. It’s not like a dessert party where you get escorted to the viewing area. You basically get a special Fastpass for the dining package area.

The early time is to give enough time for any possible wait to be seated, time to eat, and time to get to Theatre. But even people can get breakfast reservations and ROL passes!

Giant sigh of relief. Haha! Thank you so much for clearing that up! The ROL dining package is just one dining credit correct?
