I emailed WDW to understand the new policy and ask how can I be expected to get an AP, which I will not be activating till August, and use the new system. This was their response.
Dear Sharon,
Thank you for contacting the Walt Disney World® Resort.
There are now 2 different types of Passholder discounts. The Passholder rates
that you are used to
are still available and are booked by the Disney Reservation Center / Walt
Disney Travel Company.
Current offers are:
April-July offer code is EWY.
Travel dates: April 17, 2005 through July 4, 2005. Booking dates are through
July 4, 2005.
Discount rates are available at Disney's Fort Wilderness Campgrounds, Value,
Moderate and Deluxe
Resorts.
July-August offer code is EXE.
Travel dates: July 5, 2005 through August 27, 2005. Booking dates are through
August 27, 2005.
Discount rates are available at Disney's Fort Wilderness Campgrounds, Value,
Moderate and Deluxe
Resorts.
August-October offer code is EXI.
Travel dates: August 28, 2005 through October 4, 2005.. Booking dates are
through October 4, 2005.
Discount rates are available at Disney's Fort Wilderness Campgrounds, Value,
Moderate and Deluxe
Resorts.
These are only booked by calling 407-W-DISNEY and asking for the Passholder
code.
The new option is to book online. As far as we know this is not replacing the
other option in
booking Passholder rates. This new option is for Passholders who are trying to
plan their vacation
more than 120 days in advance.
Passholder reservations can be accessed online with a Passholder pass or
exchange voucher ID. Both
now allow entry into the Passholder website and then onto booking engine.
Currently this program is
only available for arrivals through 12/19/05. The 2006 dates will be released
as soon as they are
made available. As you have seen, the online bookings have different rules and
policies than the
codes listed above.
I hope this information helps and if you have additional questions or need
further assistance,
please feel free to contact us.
Please include your full name, E-Mail address, and reservation number if
applicable on all
correspondence.
Thank you!
Sincerely,
Steve Davitt
