Relaxing in So. Cali before Disney ideas???

We will be moving from the Bay Area of CA to Morocco in September. DS (age 5) and I want to do Disney for 3 or 4 days in park. DH wants to do something "relaxing" for a few days in between leaving the Bay area and going to DIsney. He seems to be thinking something along the lines of a wilderness resort where you can go at your own pace, etc. It will DEFINITELY need something for VERY ACTIVE 5yo DS! Any ideas? HELP!!!
