I thought it might be fun to have a thread where we could post prom pictures. Feel free to add yours :goodvibes

Rachel planned for at least 2 months. She wanted princess dress, shoes, hair, jewelry--the works! Her group of 14 went to prom in a Hummer stretch limo and had dinner at The Melting Pot.

Next up Sarah (age 17)

Sarah decided less than 3 hours before she needed to leave that she really wanted to go to prom. We shopped for dress & accessories in 45 minutes! Her group of 35 took a party bus (a converted airport bus--no lights, nothing fancy) and private cars to prom and they ate dinner at Johnny Carino's. Guess who's night was much cheaper.

The pictures will tell you everything you need to know about how different my girls are ;)

Love it!! They are so different!!
I don't have any of my prom photos. I think my dad took 1 pic and of course it's on a slide. :headache:

Both your girls look beautiful! I think it's great that they are so different. I hope they both had an awesome time.

My DS's prom is next Friday. He'll be taking his girlfriend to dinner at Osakas (a Japanese restaurant) before they head to prom.

Well, PJ's prom is next weekend.... they have to go up early to help set up and make sure everything is ready so they are eating a quick dinner at Steak-n-Shake... why? because that is their favorite restrauant and she wants to give static to Bamb & her DH.. oh, she is going to be sending you photos via text while they are there!!! So don't freak Bamb!!!

She got her dress earlier in the year... we are trying to decide on her hair do this weekend... we didn't like the updos last weekend.... I made her corsage last weekend though...

As for my Prom photos I only went my senior year..had a big ol' puffy pink "gone with the wind" dress...but the guy was a jerk.. I took his butt home after prom and went to post prom with my friends!! Never spoke to the jerk again either.... He tried to make a move and ended up coolin' off at home by himself..big jerk!

Cheryl ~ love, love, love the girls' dress... they are very different..but that is what makes them special and unique in their own way!

Cheryl they are beautiful....and after getting the pleasure of meeting them, they are just perfect for their personalities!!!

my senior prom I had a baby blue dress....my neighbor did my hair...my parents bought my flowers as I went with my 3 BFF's, no guys...had dinner at a restaurant down in Seattle and had a blast...please no laughing, this was in 1981...I can't believe I've been out of high school for gulp, 30 years :scared1:

okay, I'm being brave....her is my photo at my parents house....

Lisa--you look great! I have almost the same dress from 1979 or 1980, my mom made it. I'll have DH pull down the box with my high school stuff and post my prom pics by tomorrow :)

Designer--Jessica McClintock (sp?) I know because I was desperate to have one of her dresses, my mom found the pattern and made me one. You'll laugh when you see my pics; same dress & hair style :flower3:

Cute pics!! My little two are the complete opposites as well. one is super into "fashion" and her clothing. the other will wear whatever you toss at her. The older has taken to picking out her clothes so that they coordinate. :sad2:

that's it!!! couldn't remember for the life of me!! too funny, can't wait to see your's....knew we liked each other for a reason, same style!!
Lisa, you do not look like you have been outta high school 30 years. :thumbsup2

believe me I have, a feel every year of it! you are being too sweet!

:thumbsup2Listen all you "youngsters," my prom was so long ago that I am not sure the word was invented then! I did go to one special dance with a boy I really liked, the St. Nicholas Cotillion, but then I heard yrs later that he went in the priesthood!!!!

Cheryl, your daughters look lovely. We have 5 daughters, and each of them are unique. That's what makes our lives so wonderful!!

Here are mine:

I can't find my senior prom picture, but, it would be the same dress from 1978

Caroline--I can't imagine life with 5 girls. There are days when I want to give mine away :rotfl:

Beautiful girls!! It's so funny that your two girls are so different because mine are like night & day too!

My DD's Senior prom is tomorrow night!! I think I am more excited than she is!:rotfl2: I'll post some pictures when we get home from taking them.

This is a great idea for a thread!:thumbsup2

I had hair and glasses like that for several years - certainly 1984-92:scared1: We didn't have proms then - I don't think I even have a pic of our "leaver's disco", possibly one on my 18th and one on the day our a-level results came out.:rolleyes1 Proms are getting bigger over here, I'm looking forward to DS(17) going to one, but I bet I won't get any good pics:sad2:
