Pennsylvania DVC Owners Group

I'm going to go with being in PA is better in July for the fact that the humidity won't be 2000% like it will be in Disney. Now Going in March I vote for Disney vs Pa. lol
Yes, the weather can be better, or similar? You never know. Our area empties out around the 4th, so we're looking forward to the fireworks and pool time at WDW that week.

Chalfont, PA here! Home Resort is Riviera and our next big trip is a week in September, but looking forward to a few long weekend trips before that!

Just north of Pittsburgh here. We just returned from our first trip to Aulani. We are currently booked at our home resort BRV in December.

Johnstown for me. I am at RIV 30 May - 1 June, BRV 2 June - 5 June and AKL Kidani 6 June - 8 June.
Born and raised in JTown! I've been in Pittsburgh since I attended Duquesne though. Going 27 years in the Burgh!

Phoenixville PA here, will be at Riviera in Sept for our welcome home trip. Counting the days!!! 133 LOL

Driving down to Disney instead of flying for the first time in March, and wondering if any of you fine PA folks have advice on places/towns you've stopped in. We may make 2 stops going down and 1 stop coming back. Savannah is locked in as one of the stops as of now. Any advice on other areas to stop/stay are greatly appreciated. We are leaving from the Philadelphia area.
We drive multiple times a year from the Allentown area. Typically we drive straight through without any hotels stops. If we do stop it’s usually in SC, Florence or Santee.

We are going down in June. 2 nights RIV. 6 nights GFV. 3 night Royal Caribbean cruise.

8 nights in September at BRV. Allegiant airline out of Lehigh Valley airport now flys directly into MCO which is a game changer for us.

We have taken the auto train in the past but the reviews i see now it doesn’t seem worth it. Lots of delays and over booking. Also if I’m driving to DC to get on a 17 plus hour train I might as well just keep driving!

Hey there fellow Pennsylvanians! Have been in Philly since 2008 (all my adult life) and in Mount Airy Philadelphia for the last few years. We own at SSR since just 2023 but have stayed there before renting points and absolutely loved it. Excited to be a part of this group!
Welcome fellow phillian….

Heading to the World in late July. I'm excited that Tiana's will be open in time for our trip. I'm looking forward to the WDW expansion news. I'll also be curious of the timelines. I'm tired of construction walls everywhere.

Make sure to ride big thunder mt, will close for a year sometime soon. Hoping it’s still open in sept.

I'm a 412 (Pittsburgh area) native but have lived in L.A. for >40 years. We bought at OKW in '97 and have been regulars at both DL and WDW ever since. Other than the wretched flights, being bicoastal has its advantages--I usually manage to catch new rides wherever they open first (I rode RotR in HS before it opened in DL and will ride Tiana in MK first) and can get my Haunted Mansion fix in MK while it's down here in DL. I'll be back in PA in a few weeks, looking forward to the Pirates/Dodgers game at beautiful PNC Park!

We used to fly and made use of the Disney express but since covid and the ending of the Disney express we have been driving. We are about 15-20 miles north of the Philadelphia area and the first few times we stopped overnight in Savannah. Do yourself a favor and don't stay at the cheapest place even if just overnite. We made that mistake and the hotel area was dark, sketchy and the room was filthy. Right across the street was a holiday inn, if i was staying more than just overnight I would have moved. We now just drive straight down and we make use of the express lanes. In my opinion it is worth the extra tolls. This year was are going in June and on the way home we are spending 2 nights at DVC HHI.
