What's the advantage of booking onboard. We plan to be on the Dream in September and the Fantasy the following May. Thinking we would book the Fantasy while onboard the Dream if the advantage is good!

Unless they recently changed it, you get a 10% discount on the cruise portion of the fare (not including taxes and port charges), a reduced deposit amount - 10%, and onboard credit based on the length of the cruise. Less than 7 nights it is a $100 credit, 7 nights or longer - $200.

You receive 10% off the cruise fare, 10% deposit instead of 20%, and you get OBC depending on the length of the cruise. $100 for less than 7 nights and $200 for 7 nights or more.

You may want to book your May 2014 cruise now rather than waiting another 7 months to book it onboard in Sept. The OBB discount will be off the current rate, and fares could well increase between now and Sept. therefore negating any savings of the 10% discount. You can always "re-shop" when you are onboard and in the even the fares have not increased much you can still get the 10% discount and appropriate OBC while onboard.
