When do MVMCP Tickets go on sale?
Tickets for Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party are limited and may be purchased online beginning July 6, 2023. Guests of select Walt Disney World Resort hotels, Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin Hotels, and Shades of Green can begin purchasing tickets as early as June 29, 2023.

Tickets went on sale at 7am EST

2022 - Tickets were available to purchase at midnight.

Please note that MVMCP is a "hard-ticket" event. A "hard-ticket" event means you must buy a separate ticket for admission to the party, you cannot use a day of your regular Magic Your Way ticket to attend MVMCP.​

How much do tickets cost?
Ticket prices vary depending on the date of the party. Ticket prices will range from $159-$199 per person.

Annual Passholder and Disney Vacation Club Discounts
On select nights, guests that are Annual Passholders or DVC owners can save $10 dollars on their tickets.

*Tickets are non‐refundable and non‐ transferrable and sold on a first‐come, first‐serve basis. We will process your request in the order they are received. Please order through Walt Disney World’s website if you feel your date may sell out. A military discount is not available through Walt Disney World.

*Active and Retired U.S. Military, including members of the U.S. Coast Guard and participating members of the National Guard and Reserve, may purchase discounted Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party Tickets for special military priced event nights.

Guests of select Walt Disney World Resort hotels including Shades of Green can purchase June 29 –July 05, 2023. If you are ordering tickets during this time, please write your resort confirmation number on your order form and send a screen shot of your confirmation. The general public sale starts July 06, 2023. Please note that the number of Tickets available is limited. Events may sell out. In addition, all Tickets are non-refundable, non-transferable, and are only valid for admission during the special event date and hours.

Where can I buy the tickets? When should I buy tickets?
Tickets can be ordered by calling 407-W-DISNEY or purchase online, https://disneyworld.disney.go.com/tickets/events/. Once you purchase tickets, they will be linked to yourMy Disney Experience account.

Definitely purchase in advance of the party, especially if you plan to attend one of the last parties, or if there is a specific day you prefer to go.

What time does MVMCP start? What time can I enter the park?
MVMCP officially starts at 7pm. Guests may enter Magic Kingdom using their party tickets starting at 4pm. This practice is not officially advertised by Disney, but it has been exercised for many years and Cast Members will readily confirm this information. None of the party-specific M&Gs or treats will begin until 7pm, with a few M&G exceptions.

Do I need a wristband? What if I want to stay without one?
Yes, a wristband is included in the cost of admission. All ticket holders for this event will be required to wear a wristband. You may pick-up your wristband and map of the party at designated locations in the MK.

Once the party begins at 7pm, Cast Members begin looking for those who do not have wristbands to exit the park.

MVMCP Ticket Holders have purchased tickets with "their money" for the party; if you do not have a ticket/wristband make your way to exit the gates by 7pm.
As discussed on another thread, there are different color wristbands, so NO Double Dipping to attend another party. Oh, my! I'm already in the park. Do I have to exit and re-enter for MVMCP? No, there are checkpoints within the park to check-in and receive wristbands for MVMCP!
The old plastic wristbands have been replaced with ribbon wristbands. They have the event logo and a slider to adjust it to your wrist size. The wristbands cannot be loosened once it’s been tightened to help prevent wristband sharing.

Do you have a map of the party?
Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party Map gives you an idea of special foods available, as well as show times for the major entertainment.

A complimentary toy soldier ornament is available on Market Street before 8:00 p.m.

A DJ entertains guests from a Christmassy stage on Market Street.

What Complimentary Holiday Treats are offered?
Locations are indicated on the map. There is no limit to how many times you can go back to the same location for more. Several holiday treat locations will be open until midnight during MVMCP.

Santa will start meeting daily at Town Square starting Nov 28th through Dec 24th from 10am to 5pm in addition to MVMCP.​

How long are the Character Meet & Greet lines?
It depends. There are a few of the popular characters that will have lines that begin long before the party starts. If you want to see the 7 Dwarfs you will want to line up around 5:00pm. The other M&G wait times will range from 30-45 minutes.

Are the attractions open during MVMCP?
Yes, and the lines for most attractions (except Seven Dwarfs Mine Train) will have much shorter wait times than a regular park day.

TRON Lightcycle / Run (will use a virtual queue* during the event) - The virtual queue will open to Party ticket holders at the beginning of the event, allowing them to join a boarding group through the official My Disney Experience app or at select kiosks within the park. Guests will only be able to enter the virtual queue once. The queue will open at 6pm, and no standby queue will be available. Guests must ensure their party tickets are linked to their MyDisneyExperience account to utilize the virtual queue.

In Tomorrowland, you can cruise a festive freeway filled with thousands of lights, stylized décor and a fun, futuristic holiday soundtrack as you get behind the wheel on the "Tomorrowland Speedway Race Through the Holidays.”

The crew at Monsters, Inc. Laugh Floor is filling their laugh canisters with some holiday cheer at their “Monsters, Inc. Laugh Floor Holiday Show” for everyone visiting the Monster World during Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party.

Space Mountain - Holiday Run!! launches you on an adventure through the cosmos, filled with interstellar lighting and high-energy holiday tunes.

Mad Tea Party in Fantasyland becomes a wild and wacky Christmas party––where you can spin your teacup to one of 4 holiday combos of lights and music.

Get ready to laugh on a Jingle Cruise packed with holiday-themed puns.​

Are Genie+ Reservations available during the party?
Genie+ is not available during party hours (7pm to 12am). In the past, guests visiting from 4-6pm on a party ticket could book FastPass+ reservations. Genie+ and ILL (Individual Lightning Lane) are only available for guests that have park reservations for the Magic Kingdom or park hopper ticket option on a MNSSHP date.

People reported that you are able to add Genie+ with a party ticket. Guests only had from 4pm-6pm to utilize Genie+.

Should I attend?
Is MVMCP worth it? IMO it is most definitely worth the price at least once. I thoroughly enjoyed MVMCP, and we plan to attend 2 parties this year (fingers crossed for dates). It’s definitely worth it if your budget allows.

There’s plenty of special entertainment, special decorations and lighting, and lots of unique character meet and greets.

If you decide to attend MVMCP, make sure to purchase your tickets in advance, and use any available discounts (i.e. DVC, AP, etc,). Tickets are more expensive on the day of the party, and several nights each year sell out completely.

Top Five Things You Must Do at Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party

Party Crowds
MVMCP is a special ticket event with a limited amount of tickets sold. It has been discussed that more tickets are being sold as of late. However, due to Party Entertainment, crowds tend to be more concentrated around the events, especially the parade and fireworks.

2019 & Prior: November party dates will almost always be less busy than December dates, and Tuesdays are usually less crowded than parties offered on other days of the week. Day of the week tends to matter as well, with Monday through Thursday evenings being less busy than the weekend events.

Snow on Main Street, U.S.A.
This isn’t “real” snow, it is actually imitation snow. There is a “snowfall” on Main Street (Between Casey's Corner & the Emporium) before the parades and then at the end of the evening. There is also snow on Main Street after the fireworks. It can snow intermittently on Main Street, but there is not snow during A Frozen Holiday Wish or the Fireworks. There is also snow in Tomorrowland immediately following A Totally Tomorrowland Christmas Show.

What are the times for Mickey's Once Upon a Christmastime Parade?
Mickey's Once Upon a Christmastime Parade runs at 8:30pm and 11:00pm.

It has been discussed that the second parade is less crowded than the first. There are advantages and disadvantages to both depending on your party size/age and party plans.

FYI: The parade route begins in Frontierland, follows the waterway until it reaches Liberty Square, crosses the Liberty Square bridge, circles Central Plaza in front of Cinderella's Castle, then heads down Main Street, U.S.A., where it ends next to Harmony Barbershop.

What time is Minnie’s Wonderful Christmastime Fireworks?
Minnie's Wonderful Christmastime Fireworks shows at 10:00pm.

Minnie’s Wonderful Christmastime Fireworks is Exclusive to MVMCP, but will run from December 23-29 at 10pm.

Frozen Holiday Surprise
New for 2023, join Elsa, Anna, Kristoff, and Olaf as they help to decorate Cinderella Castle. This show is 7 minutes and will be shown twice nightly.

Transportation
The Walt Disney World Transportation, including the boat launches, bus and monorail stations, all continue to run during and after Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party.

Disney Springs: One-way bus service from the 4 Disney theme parks operates daily from 4:00 PM until 11:00 PM or 2 hours after theme parks close, whichever is earlier.

The actual SPECIAL EVENT (MVMCP) does end on the selected date, however, they still have the Christmas Parade for FREE in the Magic Kingdom after the last scheduled MVMCP for you to enjoy in case you cannot attend MVMCP! You should try your best to attend though!

Mickey’s Once Upon a Christmastime Parade
Steps off in Frontierland. The legendary street comes alive with yuletide spirit on select nights. Snap memorable photos of dancing gingerbread men, marching toy soldiers and beloved Disney Characters as they float by, waving hello. There’s even a special appearance by Santa Claus–riding in to wish everyone a Merry Christmas.There is a “snowfall” on Main Street before the parades and then at the end of the evening.
Kringle Krew Pre-Parade (Center Street): A street act combining hip-hop elements with traditional Christmas entertainment for a pre-parade party.

Minnie’s Wonderful Christmastime Fireworks
Get in the Christmas spirit as your host—Minnie Mouse—invites you to take in a sparkling, yuletide fireworks display. Watch as the sky becomes alight with festive colors to the tune of some of your favorite carols like Deck the Halls and We Wish You a Merry Christmas.

This merry display can be thoroughly enjoyed from most locations throughout Magic Kingdom park—including Liberty Square, Fantasyland and Tomorrowland.

Look for Woody and Jessie from “Toy Story,” Fantasyland friends such as Peter Pan and Snow White, and many more! “Mickey’s Most Merriest Celebration” will be presented on the Cinderella Castle Forecourt Stage.

Young partygoers can get their groove on with Disney Junior Characters!
In Storybook Circus, the Disney Junior Jingle Jam gives young partygoers the chance to get their groove on with favorite characters from popular Disney Junior shows Fancy Nancy, Vampirina, Doc McStuffins and Timon. They won’t be able to sign autographs, but it’s an opportunity to have fun with them.

For people who like pop tunes (both Christmas and non), this is a fun place to boogie down with Judy Hopps, Nick Wilde, and Chip ‘n’ Dale. Get ready—this is your chance to dance the night away with holiday friends (Reindeer, Polar Bears & Elves) all night long in Tomorrowland!

Dining during MVMCP​

Can I make ADRs in the Magic Kingdom WITHOUT a party ticket?
Yes, you can make your reservations up until 6:00pm. Please note you will be asked to leave the property as soon as your dining experience is complete. If you have not purchased a MVMCP ticket, you can purchase a same day ticket IF the party has not sold out.

Should I eat in a Disney Restaurant while the party is going on? Will I miss something?
This is subjective, and you will see conflicting opinions posted on various threads. Remember - you can enter the park at 4pm if you have purchased a MVMCP ticket. Most agree that you should eat either before, or during the 4-7pm time periods so you DO NOT waste time/miss the Christmas Festivities.

Starting September 28, 2023, booking will be available for Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party Table Service Dining reservations beginning on November 9, 2023.

At Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party, 2 of the most popular table-service restaurants in Magic Kingdom park will be open.

Santa Claus
Guests can say hello to Santa Claus as he makes special appearances in all four parks, Disney Springs and even at a Disney Water Park, where you’ll find him dressed in his tropical holiday beachwear.

Santa Claus meets at the Enchanted Glade Gazebo behind Liberty Square at Magic Kingdom. He meets intermittently throughout the day and during MVMCP. You can also see Santa in the Once Upon a Christmastime Parade. This parade will be available to all guests during the week of Christmas. It is also performed twice nightly at Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party.

EPCOT
At The Odyssey Pavilion. This building is located near the borders of Future World (World Celebration) and World Showcase. His meet-and-greet will begin on November 24, 2023, and he’ll be at this location through Christmas Eve.

Animal Kingdom
You can find Santa in Animal Kingdom is when he appears on the Festive Flotilla.

Hollywood Studios
“For the first time in forever”, the “It’s A Wonderful Shop” is reopened for a very special holiday attraction overlay. Starting today, November 11th, guests can meet Santa Claus at this location until he delivers his packages on December 24th.
The current hours to meet Santa Claus are daily from 10:00 am until 1:30 pm, 2:00 pm until 7:00 pm, and 7:30 pm until 8:30 pm.

Disney Jollywood Nights is a limited-capacity holiday event. Guests of select Walt Disney World Resort hotels, Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin hotels, and Shades of Green can buy tickets starting June 29. Tickets may be purchased by all guests starting July 6 on the Walt Disney World website. Ticket prices will range from $159 – $179 per person.

Annual Passholders and Disney Vacation Club Members can save $10 per ticket to Disney Jollywood Nights, valid for all event nights.

Jingle Cruise
Jingle Cruise, the holiday overlay edition of the Jungle Cruise, opens November 3 for the 2023 Christmas season at the Magic Kingdom. Debuting in 2013, the Jingle Cruise is back for another year, which sees holiday props, music and script changes added to the traditional Jungle Cruise attraction in Adventureland.

Celebrate the holiday season at Winter Summerland - Disney’s Christmas Themed Mini Golf
Winter Summerland is one of the two miniature golf course options available at Walt Disney World. The other mini-golf course available at Disney World is Fantasia Gardens.

Winter Summerland is located next to Blizzard Beach water park and contains two 18 hole courses. The theme of the land provides the backstory of how Santa Claus discovered the area on Christmas Eve as the perfect vacation spot for himself, Mrs. Claus, and the elves. The snow and ice from Blizzard Beach provided a wintery area that reminded Santa of home in the North Pole, while the sun and sandcastles on the other half of the course included the warm Florida getaway vacation option. Both Santa and the elves couldn’t decide where to put a mini-golf course, winter side or summer side, so they built the course on both sides!

It’s nostalgic and it’s glitz and glam galore. Get ready to dress in your holiday glam best or festive flair, dance the night away to merry mashups, indulge in divine treats and bubbling spirits, and snap selfies with iconic characters during this new festive event. For an extra dose of cheer, the party wraps with the return of the nighttime spectacular, “Jingle Bell, Jingle BAM!” You’ll be in fa la la la la la la la land before you can say Tinseltown!

Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa
The most iconic and well-known gingerbread display can be found at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa. The lifesize gingerbread house is located in the lobby of the resort. Cast Members sell delicious gingerbread and other holiday treats from the gingerbread house. This beloved tradition is back again for its 24th year from Nov. 8 through Jan. 1, 2024.

Disney’s Beach Club Resort
A gingerbread carousel which has a new design each year can be seen in the lobby. Each year’s design draws inspiration from different Disney characters. This year’s theme is Snow White!



Disney’s BoardWalk
This creation is a miniature version of some of your favorite spots found along the BoardWalk itself, including the BoardWalk Deli. The display is shore to impress from Nov. 17 through Dec. 27.



Disney’s Contemporary Resort
The gingerbread display is back once again for its 12th year led by Pastry Chef Jeff Barnes! Found on the fourth floor of the resort from Nov. 10 through Jan. 6, 2024.

When will the 2024 dates for MVMCP be released?

2023 party dates were announced on June 15. Tickets for 2023 Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party went on sale June 29 to guests of Disney World resort hotels, Disney World Swan, Dolphin, and Swan Reserve, as well as Shades of Green. 2023 Christmas Party ticket sales to the general public began on July 6. Tickets went on sale at 7am EST.

The dates for 2024 in the first post - are those really for 2024? When I went to Disney's site to verify it just says to 'check back later' for information.
