Mousesavers say Oct 8 but....

Has anyone had luck booking online for the AP Best Rates for Oct 8-15. I know Mousesavers reports it starts Oct 8 but when I am able to access the special offers page I can't book as it's under 120 days.

Come on you lurkers! Anyone having any luck?

I was unable to access those dates, too. That's our fall break, so we're taking the kids back to WDW. When I tried other dates, I just got rack rates.

Even though the "official" date is October 8th, 120 days from today is already the 18th of October. Therefore you cannot book anything on this new plan prior to the 120 day window.

Squeakymouse, thanks for the reply. I'm not surprised about the rack rate. I think the discounts are to be applied when they become available. Good luck in your quest!

Thanks too, Sue Ellen. I do realize that our dates are under the 120 days. Just don't understand why there is supposedly a start date of 10/8 . Hoping that when things get tweaked if they do, that the dates between 10/5 and 10/15 aren't left out in the cold. Although I knew Columbus Day was in there, I didn't realize that some NE schools apparently are on break then?

We are going to Disney in either Nov or Dec and although the website says it is valid for check in up to 12/19, I can't get anything past 11/30. Just once would I like to see a new Disney offer go smoothly. You would think with all of the money behind Disney, they could at least maintain a website that works correctly. I would have lost my job by now if I put out the kind of work that Disney website people do!

I tried putting in Nov 29th as a start date and had the same problem. I emailed them about this yesterday evening. Hopefully someone will fix it early next week.

It does seem like the Best Rates web application went live before being fully tested and debugged.

Sherry and Lisa, I tried for our January trip, too. Well, duh....I had read that it had an end date of 12/19. But I would be frustrated in your boots. It does sound as if there are some kinks to work out.

And if one of the points is to make booking at the best rate more convenient for AP holders, I hope in the future the booking window opens much earlier or at least we are notified by snail mail. For a while I was getting emails but now I'm not??

I also hope the site gets easier to access. I currently can not get on it at all from my computer. Yesterday am, I could on my DH's computer with my AP#. In the afternoon, my AP# would no longer work, nor DS2s but DH AP# would work. Grrr!

I am looking for a check-in Oct 7 or 8 to coincide with my DVC at BWV. I called Disney Friday and was told there was nothing that could be done regarding the 120 day window.

So, right now I still have my ressie for POR with AAA. Depending on how much we like POP on our upcoming trip we may do some juggling on POR. Our POR rate is $140/night inc taxes, but every time I talk about staying 3 nights at POP DH looks at me funny (he is definitely a deluxe and moderate snob ).

I am hoping what they say is true regarding additional AP releases.
