Just at Epcot today and none of the koi were in the pond. Just wondering if it was being referb or if they were removing them. Hope they are not one of favorite things to look at Epcot.
Did they need to oil the koi animatronics?
Actually from what I hear it's been cold there so maybe they were moved temporarily to a tank until the weather gets better?
They are changing agent P's adventure to duck tales, wonder if the koi pond might be involved in the change over somehow?
Maybe a union issue? Sometimes they negotiate by being coy.
I was there Thanksgiving and there where no Koi.

We had a koi pond in the backyard when I was a kid. Every couple years a blue heron on migration would stop and eat all my father's koi. We tried nets, sonic things, increased fish hiding spaces, it was infuriating. The bird always waited a few years too, so my dad would buy fingerlings and right about the time they started to look good at 6 or 8 inches long, the bloody bird would come and eat them all. From what I remember, Great Blue Herons and Osprey eat Koi. Maybe they either got eaten, or perhaps Disney decided to remove them before they got eaten-especially in front of guests!
