As usual, I was up at 7:00a to get everyone started. After eating our breakfast in our room we went out and did a little sight seeing around our hotel. The kids took our picture looking down at them from out side of our room. We took theirs on the playing field in between the buildings. It made for a great picture with the two giant helmets and the beverage cup in the background.

We got on a bus and was at MGM by 9:00. Our very first stop was the Little Mermaid show. We had missed this in '96 and did not want to this time. The wait was only 15 minutes so we did not get FPs. I didn't think the show was all that great, liking Beauty and the Beast better but my DD loved it. I am a big fan of the movie though.

Our next stop was the Beauty and the Beast show. We barely got in and had to sit up on the bleachers in the sun. We enjoyed the show and liked being able to get out ahead of the crowd even better.

We skipped the Tower of Terror and the Rock 'n' Roller Coaster. My DH is the only one in our family who likes thrill rides and he really didn't care if he rode them or not.

On the way to the Backlot Tour, we met Tigger and Piglet. Both our kids got their picture made with Tigger, but our DD was the only one who wanted a picture with Piglet.

The Backlot Tour has not changed much in the last four years, just the beginning. I think we will skip this ride next time unless they come up with some different exhibits.

The Honey I Shrunk the Kids playground was an area we had missed last time so we spent quite a while in there. It began to get crowded so we left and headed towards our lunch reservation.

On the way we stopped to listen to a jazz band. Doing stuff like that is so much fun. No plans, just spontaneity.

We got to 50's Prime Time and the line just to tell "Mom" you were here was out the door and into the street. We had gotten there 15 minutes early and I am glad we did. As I moved into the door, wouldn't you know a friend I worked with occasionally walked out. We didn't know each other was coming to WDW and shared a few moments while I waited. It's amazing how out of all of those people there I would see her and her family.

Once we got into the restaurant, we did not have the luck that we had yesterday. Our wait was at least 45 minutes. Fortunately our children were behaving better. We had heard so much about this place and was eager to experience our "Mom" and the food. We were soon to be disappointed. Our "Mom" must have been having a bad day. After introducing us to our cousins at the next table, that's about all we heard. We could hear other "Moms" and "cousins" in the other areas having a ball but our area was silent for the most part. My DH tried to strike up a conversation with "Mom" but had no luck. Even when our cousins left and new ones took their place, she did not even introduce us.

Our food was okay, very hefty portions. Our DD didn't eat much and looked a little under the weather. Our overall experience was not very good. I think we will go back to the Sci-Fi next time. We're not having much luck with sit downs are we?

Walking by the closed Indiana Jones show we had to pull the rope. We enjoy doing this every time we walk by.

We just wandered around for awhile waiting for the Mulan parade to start. Last time we were here it was a Toy Story parade. My DD bought an autograph book and a pen. She couldn't wait to get some autographs.

Before the parade started there was a slap stick group performing that was pretty good. They were plumbers or something and got the kids in the audience to participate by throwing plungers at a target. It was quite funny.

We got good seats for the parade, right up front. Many of the characters interacted with us. Wish I were quicker with the camera.

After the parade we went to see the Hunchback of Notre Dame. This show is excellent! The singing and choreography is great! Don't miss it!

The Drew Carey Soundstage was next. It was a little scary for my DD at first but she adjusted quickly when she realized that all she had to do was listen. It was worth our time.

Doug Rocks! was next. My DS did not want to go in but he was over ruled. This was enjoyable too.

The last ride on our list was the Great Movie Ride. I've heard that they might be revamping this and look forward to it next time.

We headed over to line up in Fantasmic and joined the line. We moved about 50 feet and then stopped. After about 15 minutes the line moved about 100 feet and stopped. People were starting to run and teenagers were jumping up on the wall and walking down to get ahead. We waited awhile and then moved again. We wondered how much farther do we go? With the crowd packed in so tightly it was quite dangerous when some of them began moving faster than others. We decided it was not worth getting hurt, jumped line and headed out. I wish we could have seen the show but maybe next time.

Back at the hotel, we ate dinner in our room. Then we walked down and sat outside the food court enjoying the evening while our kids played in the arcarde. Then my DH took them swimming while I stayed in the room relaxing. It started to rain (the only time that week) sending them scurrying in.

One disappointment my DD did have was that housekeeping did not do anything special with the Minnie Mouse that we had purchased for her the evening before. It was just left in the chair where my DD had put her before we left that morning. Two doors down housekeeping had put stuffed animals in the curtains to wait for their owners.

Poor Piglet. :( Nobody loves him. ;)

Our housekeeper at PO put my ds's Maleficient dragon in the window one day. We came back after dark and the blinds were up just a bit. There was a lamp on to illuminate Maleficient, and she just about scared the begeebers out of us when we walked around the corner.

Thanks for sharing your trip with us.

Lisa :)
