Got up and off to MGM. We had PS for Hollywood and Vine this morning - our first time there. We got there early enough to do Star Tours first - I thought Austin would love this but he wasn't too sure when we got off - he didn't want to do it again so that says it all I think!

Hollywood and Vine was good. The characters (Minnie, Pluto, Goofy, Chip and Dale) were great, the food was decent, it wasn't real busy....for some reason I just didn't think it was as good as the CP or Chef Mickeys. I can't figure out why...just that the overall experience wasn't the same. One tip...if you make late breakfast PS (ours was for 11am) you can make one trip to the breakfast buffet and then one for lunch - they changed over to lunch at 11:30 so we got a little of each!

Off to Indiana Jones...We haven't done this with the kids before and Austin really enjoyed it. He's the perfect age to really understand what's going on I think - and then we went to the Studio tour thing...This wasn't such a hit with Austin - I don't think they explained as well what everything was - I had told Austin that he'd learn more about how they make movies, but they didn't go into that much. It's been 8 years or so since I've been on this, but I remember it being much better than it actually was. We then saw the Muppets (which I've missed the last 3 times we've been - that pesky toddler again) - What a great show!!! Stopped at Min and Bill's for yummy milkshakes and went back to DL.

After a rest, we took the boat to Downtown Disney. This place was crazy....there were at least 80 bazillion people in the Disney store alone. It was WAY too crowded to be enjoyable. Had a pretty good dinner at the Wolfgang Puck express and then let Austin get soaking wet at the little fountain. Little pods with water that shoots out the top every few seconds...it's amazing how the simplest things can sometimes be the most fun! The boat ride back to DL was pretty cold for my drenched little boy, but the driver took off his jacket and draped it over Austin...an extremely nice thing to do! Austin kept saying "Mom, that was really nice of that man to do that" and he thanked him without any prompting. Very heart-warming to see!! :

Awwwww. What a nice cm, and what a nice little boy too. :)

We'll have to try Hollywood and Vine next time. That's a great tip about going at 11:00.

Thanks for sharing your trip with us.

Lisa :)
