12/21-12/28 AKL So excited!!
 


We booked 1 night CL at AKL before our September vacation. I'm super excited for every second we'll be there. We're doing a resort day to try and get as many experiences as we can in our day/night there.

Disney called me today to see if we needed anything and I was genuinely confused as to why they would call. He had to explain it was part of the club level experience. The magic has started already!

They ended up putting us in a preferred room. What is the likelihood with this at deluxe resorts? Is there something to ask for, like being closer to the lobby, help?

I obviously am not expecting anything, I just want to make sure I don't kill my chances by seeming too greedy or demanding.

As some point, I remember reading where someone asked for a partial savannah view which are rooms that face the savannah, but have some sort of obstruction or something else that has caused them to be reclassified to standard view. This happened to us at Kidani. We booked a standard view and ended up facing the Pembe Savannah which is very narrow with less animals. Had we paid for savannah, we would have been disappointed, but it was an amazing surprise since we booked standard!

Concierge at club level are exceptional for sure they all go to their top game to help guests before they get there to the day they check out. We stayed club level at the Yacht Cub back in 2013 and I was amazed by their attention to details. The concierge staff always has the most up to date information about tours and experiences for guests and helpful suggestions too. They helped organise a few items for me and my family and I was very impressed. The food was also wonderful and the staff in the club room very attentive without feeling like they hovered over anyone. Food was replenished often during the hours snacks and drinks were available and it was a lovely place to grab a morning cuppa and a pastry before heading to the parks and a big welcome back after a day in the parks when we could grab a glass of wine or a soda or beers on our way back to the room.
 
I am thinking about Jambo Deluxe Studio with a standard view. Do the studios at AK have toasters?

Thank you! We are very excited. I've always wanted to stay at AKL, especially a savanna view room. We've even booked it a couple of times but always switch to a mod or value to save money.
This time we got a great rate at the new tower at CSR but we couldn't get the first night so we have to do a split stay. It'll be a resort day/night and I was torn between BC or AKL but went with AKL. Tbh, I'm still torn. I know the boys would love the pool at the BC and my DH and I would love to go over and walk along the BW.
We went with AKL because of the animals and activities. I'm a little worried about the renovations. If we paid this much money, I don't want to see cranes. This is a big splurge for us.
So yeah, we are very excited. The boys can hardly contain themselves. They don't know where we're staying so they will be happy no matter what. But I'm still a little torn.

I've never stayed at AKL but, I don't think you'll regret it. You have all of those cultural experiences, art tour, the free culinary tour at 4pm, two pools. I've read the Kidani pool is awesome. Of course, animal watching/enrichment in the morning and afternoon. Campfire in the evening, then a movie. There's too much to take advantage of all in a day. If there are cranes around, they're easy to avoid with all of the activities and Kidani.
I'm so excited to stay there!

Question for those who have stayed in the DVC villas in Jambo house recently. Do they still have drip style or Keruig coffee makers. TIA>
