We made it to our room. For some reason the carpet is wet. But we just dropped our stuff and left for dinner. None of Nic's magic bands are working so we have to stop at the front desk.

Double length. They use them for the big resorts. Nic was standing in the middle pretending to "surf".

Not too terribly crowded. Of course lots headed to the exit now. Wait times are low, boys are on Buzz right now. Weather is perfect!!!

Good morning!! We are just waking up here at POR. Thankfully I bought breakfast stuff late last night at the Main Street bakery because we are a long way from food! The boys are hopelessly spoiled and ready for the convenience of CL food and drinks. I admit I am too after the amount of money I've spent on food and drinks the last 12 hours.
We will be heading over to AKL in a taxi once we finish up here. I can't wait to see the animals!!!

There's a coffee maker in our room but no cups! I'm tempted to use a glass but afraid it might shatter from the heat.

Following along - as always, thanks for posting! Funny but I just mentioned to DH last night that we're going to be spending a fortune the first 3 days at POR before we get to RPC. I think we're going to buy the mugs - might be worth it. It has been many years since we've done that!

Can't wait to hear about AKL CL!

Jambo! We have made it to AKL and are currently enjoying delicious snacks in the lounge. It is gorgeous and perfect of course!

Snacks:

Granola bars and gummi bears, the granola is soft and cinnamony!! Delicious!!!

Warm chocolate chip and sugar cookies

Yogurt covered pretzels

Spiced nuts

Trail mix

BBQ kettle chips

Goldfish

These snacks are available from 11:30-3:00pm daily. At 3:00 it switches to "Afternoon Tea". Scones perhaps???
Considering the weather is a nightmare right now we maybe still be here at 3:00. Lol!

Wet carpet, no clock, no cups, dirty towels in the bathroom. I remember now why I haven't stayed at POR in 15 years. It will probably be another 15 before I go back. If I would have been staying longer I would have definitely gone to management. But we basically slept and left. Very glad to be here at AKL now.
