Hollywood parking

Hey friends,

We are arriving Sunday for our first ever west coast trip. We are getting in early and want to go to Hollywood before going to check in at DLR. We will have a car. Any tips on where to park?

We want to see the Hollywood sign, the Chinese theater, at least a portion of the walk of fame, tossing around the idea of the studio tour but that's not a for sure yet. And someone said we need to eat at "in and out" burgers. My DD is set on celebrity sightings lol, anyone have tips for that?

The easiest place to park is Hollywood and Highland Center. It's a huge mall right on the corner. From there you can see the Hollywood sign from a bridge at the mall, the street level is the Walk of Fame, studio tours leave from across the street in front of the Disney Ghirardelli Soda Fountain, and the Chinese theater is right next door. No celebrities are in that area, it's much too tacky. :) You do have to pay to park there, but the structure is huge and they will validate if buy anything.

There is an In'N'Out right by DLR. It is located on Ball Rd. and State College, about 5 minutes from the parks. You could eat there before checking in to your hotel. We've had pretty consistent celebrity sightings (coincidence, not something we deliberately aim for) at the Grove shopping center and the Farmer's Market (fun dining, right next to the Grove). And we've also had good sightings at DLR! It's really interesting who you might see while you are in the parks.
