Okay...names are just starting to go out...be patient ;)

Reminder....mail by date is Oct. 10....please be on time. new date!!
I leave Oct. 22 and I want this all wrapped up by then...pretty please :teeth:

Can't wait to hear of the recipes .....and the extras.

In years past, once this thread has started, we post some of our favorite recipes to share with everyone....so feel free to do that. :tink:

Hidden Valley Torte

Amount Measure Ingredient -- Preparation Method
-------- ------------ --------------------------------
1 package Hidden Valley ranch dressing mix
16 ounces cream cheese
6 ounces marinated artichoke hearts -- drained and chopped
1/3 cup roasted red peppers -- drained and chopped
3 tablespoons fresh parsley -- minced

Cream cheese and dressing mix together.
In a separate bowl, stir together artichokes, peppers and parsley.
In a 3 cup bowl lined with plastic wrap, alternate layers of cheese and vegetable mixture--beginning with a cheese layer.
Chill 4 hours or overnight.
Invert on plate. Remove plastic wrap. Serve with crackers.

Candy Corn Cookies

Amount Measure Ingredient -- Preparation Method
-------- ------------ --------------------------------
1 1/2 cups butter -- softened
1 1/2 cups sugar
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
3 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
yellow and orange paste food coloring

In a mixing bowl, cream butter and sugar. Beat in vanilla.
Combine flour, baking soda and salt. Gradually add to creamed mixture.
Divide dough in half. Tint one half yellow.
Divide remaining dough into two-thirds and one-third portions. Color the larger portion orange. Leave the smaller portion white.
Shape each portion of dough into two 8" logs. Flatten top and push sides in at a slight angle.
Place orange logs on yellow logs. Push sides in at a slight angle.
Top with white logs. Form a rounded top. Wrap in plastic wrap. Chill for 4 hours or until firm.
Unwrap and cut into 1/4" slices. Place 2" apart on ungreased baking sheets.
Bake at 350º for 10-12 minutes or until set. Remove to wire racks to cool.

Well, since all of my recipes (at least the ones I sent) are in a recipe software, that part was easy ;)

Pork and Stuffing Crockpot Style

Amount Measure Ingredient -- Preparation Method
-------- ------------ --------------------------------
1 box pork stuffing -- (6 oz)
1 granny smith apple -- chopped and peeled
1/2 cup chopped onion
1 cup dried cranberries
1/4 cup melted butter
1 cup chicken or veggie broth

Mix everything in large bowl.
Spray inside of crock pot.
Layer 1/2 bowl of stuffing mix in crock pot. place pork chops, roast , spare ribs (pork of your choice ) on top then add other 1/2 of stuffing mix.
Cook on Low 6-8 hours and enjoy
 
All names have now been picked up...except for the one person that is one vacation (due back tomorrow ;) ).
