I am unsure if anyone is going to be visiting Hollywood during the Halloween weekend but I thought I would post a bit about the holiday in the area.

#1 if you are not planning on staying all day in Hollywood around Hollywood Blvd on Halloween day, then skip it!!!! The huge Hollywood Halloween Party takes up a large portion of the street and causes many street closures. It can be very hard to manuver and cause terrible traffic!

The party is crazy, fun and great people watching but it is very crowded and it gets more crowded every year!

The Haunts are a blast! Universal and Knott's both have famous events and Magic Mountain is great for the rides ok for the Haunt.

Want something cultural and more unusual how about celebrating Dia de los Muetros (Day of the Dead)!! This is a Mexican holiday that remembers the dead and celebrates life.

Olvera Street is a famous street right across the way from Union Station (you can take the train right here!), it is like Little Mexico and is so fun to visit. They do large altar have Mariachi Bands and so much more!

Another great place to celebrate is at the huge Hollywood Forever celebration! It's right next door to the studios too!
