Fall Foliage Pin Meet - October 19-20

Mario,
I have some pins for you to drool over. lol. I couldn't find another Japanese trader, otherwise I would have gotten some for you too.
See you all soon, at the CT meet. I have some of those great CT pins if anyone wants to trade. Peggie

Peggie,

you should know me better than that by now. I don't waste any time. I already made a trade for the 6 patriotic Japanese pins. I got 4 for Jim too.

You mean you thought that red color was just the leaves?? ;)

Well, our pin karma is working well. Normally, Columbus Day weekend would be the peak for our fall foliage colors. A few weeks ago I was worried that by October 19th all the leaves would be gone. Now I hear that due to an unusual warm spell, the colors are about 10 days behind schedule. That means that they should be absolutely perfect for the big Fall Foliage Pin Meet next weekend.

See you then!!

For those who are not aware, Pintrader Figment has asked me to announce that he will only trade with people no more than 12 years old (and cute cast members).

I really wish I could come to this, I kept praying for them to say it would rain this weekend, but it doesn't look like it is going to happen. I hope everyone has a GREAT TIME!!! I'll be thinking of all of you.

Lori-- That's a terrible cough you have. And the raspiness in your post. I think you are coming down with something. It looks like you will be sick the weekend. Better call into work now. :smooth:

Lori,
I heard you caught what Nat is coming down with.
Your sick, aren't you Nat???
I was really looking forward to looking at that pin book of yours and working out that trade we had talked about.
I can't wait to see everyone, don't leave early, I will be there a little after 5 if the traffic works with me. The drive should take an hour. (Dom, go ahead and say it, I haven't heard it in such a long time...........most people it would take 2 hours.) I can't help it if most of my weight is in my right foot. Peggie

If anyone is attending and has not yet signed up please do so as soon as possible if you want a lanyard tag. I cannot promise them to anyone who signs up after today (Thursday).

To sign up please click on the link: SIGN UP

Thanks and we look forward to seeing you at the pin meet!

Joanne

I'm trying... But it is not looking good. I have to work sat till 5 and then sunday we open at 12...

Hey Nat! With those work hours you should be able to join us by 8pm and not have to leave until 9am the next morning. Who needs sleep anyway?

Joanne

Nat,
that's not going to cut it with me. I have to work Sat. till 4, then I will make the 1 1/2 hour drive to the meet, then leave by 12 for the long drive home. Bed by about 2 and up at 6:30 because I have to be in work at 8 in the morning. You have 4 extra hours to sleep.
I know the drive is a little longer for you, but you would get the benefit of seeing all the fantastic CT people. See you there.
Peggie

Nat,

Just send Sandy with your pin book.... ;)

How long a drive is it for you? There's always next time, although we would love to see you.

Yea but ya ever try and sell things you can sleep in when your tired....

We left the pin meet at 4:15 - had previous plans - it was wonderful. There were so many friendly people there with a common interest, and i did make some great trades - got my Epcot stamp Mickey - but we were all having a wonderful time!!!
Larry made it up from Florida and Vince from Maryland - Suzie, we missed you - and so many others from New England, NY and NJ.
Looking forward to hearing how it went though the rest of the 24 hours of trading. Can't forget the great food - Randy was cooking up a storm with chili and dogs. Thanks to all who organized it - Cynthia, Joanne, Randy, Dom and Mario and anyone else i may have forgotten. We had a great time. Caroline and Roger

Ijust got home from the meet and I had a great time too. sorry I didn't get to see you Caroline, but my work and your commitment came first.
I made some great trades. I got a few new Mickey pins for my Mickey board, and some other neat stuff that I just had to get once I saw them in someone's book.
Met some new friends, and saw some old friends, and had a great time.
I skipped the chili but Randy makes a great hot dog. The cookies were to die for, especially those CPA cookies. Yum, peanut butter and chocolate together, my dream food.
AND NAT MADE IT!!!
I knew we would wear him down. Sorry I couldn't stay Nat, I did see the outside of your book.
Dom made up these bingo cards with rows of villians, heros, heroines, cartoon shorts, and supporting actors, and Randy wrote a program that did the choosing for the bingo game. Then if you won he could type the card # into the computer and tell if you really won. Of course I never won, he never called Mickey and that is the only one I needed. Boo hoo, but they had some great prizes.
Cynthia, Dom, Mario, Randy, and Joanne, you throw a heck of a party. Peggie

Having a GREAT time!!! If you're around this AM - afternoon stop by. I'm sure we'll still be going.

If anyone that was unable to attend would like to trade for a Fall Foliage 2002 pin feel free to <a href="mailto:dom13@pinpics.com">email me</a>.
