Do these things ever come up for sale? Really looking for a flying Dumbo or an animatronic doll from It's a Small World. Price doesn't matter so please point me in the right direction.
Thank you in advance!
Keep checking with Theme Park Connection in Orlando. They have props & stuff from the local parks (Mainly Disney). Last year, they sold the front car of a decommissioned monorail.
ebay, ebay, ebay. themeparkconnection has a page there plus other random individuals selling older disney stuff. never know what you might find. search for things like"disney world prop" and list results by price to find the expensive items.
In Sept I bought a "keep your arms & legs inside the vehicle" sign from The People Mover when they did the latest refurb. Got it from Ebay and I bought a huge wall sconce from Wilderness Lodge's refurbs too. themeparkconnection had them both but I got them way cheaper on ebay. Cant wait to give the light to my dad for Christmas, its all wrapped
Yup it is! I've never been into their store in Orlando. It's on my bucket list. I have a lot of cool Disney stuff in my collection, but only one park prop; a standby entrance sign from Kilimanjaro Safaris. I have a lamp out of the tree house villas. My folks have a couple lamps out of the GF and BC.
Whenever Van Eaton Galleries has a Disneyland auction, Michael Bowling will mention the upcoming auction on the Disneyland edition of the DIS Unplugged podcast.
I've been to the Themeparkconnection store a few times. They have a lot of random stuff, but the better quality things go on ebay instead for maximum sales prices. Still, i always walk out with a few things.
