pay for admission to DL and wait in lines? I thought since they're "special" and don't want to deal with crowds, they would get this special privilage. I know I started a similar thread. .....I'm just not in the mood to put my laundry away now. :rotfl2:

Back in 86 when Captain EO first opened my mom took me to DL and we were eating breakfast in the Disneyland hotel, and my mom noticed the local News reporter sitting across from our table, the man heard my mom recognize him and came over and asked if we were from Carmel, my mom said yes, and he had a sigh of relief on his face, he told us he was sent to DL to find someone from Monterey County and interview them and follow them around DL and do a story about traveling to DL, So after that they took us into DL before anybody else, we got to ride a bunch of ride, then when the park opened they took my mom to the top of space mountain and interviewed her with Michael Eisner about Captain EO and DL, then followed us around the park all day with cameras and let us ride all the ride without waiting in line, people must have thought we were famous or something, ANYWAYs, if they would do that for us,just a couple of regular people, im sure they pull out all the stops for Famous people.:happytv:

Don't know about if they have to pay admission but Kathy Ireland was escorted to the front of the line on the finding nemo subs this past summer.

That is awesome :)

Most celebs will pay for an escort (commonly known as a plaid due to the uniform they wear) to take them thru the parks, they sometimes use the behind the scenes paths to get from one place to another and they normally do not wait for rides. Plaids generally escort the celebs thru the exit and they get on pretty fast. for instance, we were waiting for the DD's to ride Space Mtn, they had FP's and DBF and I didn't want to ride, so we went around to the exit to wait for them. While there we noticed someone who looked familiar (she was an actress) and there was a plaid hanging around, this person was viewing the ride photo with someone else, they were very happy and smiling and then they turned around and ran back up the exit ramp to ride again. In the amount of time it took our girls to ride once this person and her guest rode 3 times and left. So yes, they do get priority but I'm sure they have to pay to get in. :)

I'm sure some celebs get in for free. This late winter I expect to see Alex Smith in the park for free after he leads the 49ers a long win streak. He'll be in the parade after he wins the super bowl.

I have worked at a couple places where celebrities of both media and politics showed up. Some with high security and some not. I assure you they didn't get a 'free ride' so to speak. Nor did their entourage.
