You can call back and they will apply the discount, with a credit to your credit card.I totally just realized that I booked my cabana without the AP discount. *FACE PALM*!!

Nice pictures and I think you actually captured a "hidden mickey" with the Epcot fireworks shot!Let the post-trip blues begin....we're home from a fantastic stay at the Yacht Club. Here are some observations.
-This was our first stay but I'm pretty sure we had the best room at the YC (room 4063 water view - pics below). Full view of the bay and the fireworks at EPCOT.
- If you can swing it, get a cabana. We got one from 3-7 and it was fantastic. Kids went to the pool, we relaxed and took a nap. The fruit tray was awesome. We ordered dinner (food was meh) but it was nice to have it by the pool.
- The "secret entry" worked flawlessly. My son and I conducted a scientific time test from lobby to room to see which was quicker but I'm fairly certain he sped up his walk and cheated (he took the hall route). If there's a difference, it's minimal but the walk from the secret door to the lobby is definitely much more scenic.
- The food at Beaches and Cream is really good. The ice cream is better. Probably the best chocolate shake I've ever tasted.
- The walk to EPCOT beat the boat every time. Saves steps, though.
- Even being near the end of the resort there's no way on earth I'd walk to Hollywood Studios....just too far.
- Rooms are awesome - beds are very comfortable.
Like I said, this was our first stay at YC but the only advantage I saw to staying at BC is it's closer to EPCOT WS and closer to Beaches and Cream.
Fire away with questions, if you like!!! Happy to help out.

Great review! We have also had a couple of great stays at the YC! I just wanted to comment on how you said you would never walk to DHS. It’s interesting how everyone has their own take on things, and I just wanted to counterpoint that we would never wait for a boat to go to DHS when we could walk there so easily! We have never used the friendship boats at all when we stay at the YC, BC, BWI, or S/D, even in August midday. We just would rather control our own departure and arrival times, and it’s generally faster to walk anyway. I know every family is different, just pointing out that some may find walking reasonableLet the post-trip blues begin....we're home from a fantastic stay at the Yacht Club. Thank you! What number did you have to call?
View attachment 399921 View attachment 399922 Cabana update, 5/10/19, YC. What a great day! Weather cooperated. We were scheduled for the 3-7pm session but went down around 2 because the weather forecast was iffy. Since it hasn’t been rented in the am, it was all ready for us. No problem going early as the cabana attendant also thought the weather might end our 4 hour stint early but thankfully the weather cooperated. Very cool experience, highly recommend. Yes, it’s expensive, $180 with the AP discount. Fruit plate awesome & plenty of stuff to drink. First pix file too big!
Saw a wedding carriage ready to take bride & groom from the wedding pavilion but their arrival was taking forever so I only got a pix of horse & carriage.
Cabanas 1 and 2 are closest to the pool, 3 and 4 are behind 1 and 2, further from the pool, certainly a little quieter. We had cabana 4 and it was amazing. It's not that big of an area, you'll be fine in whatever one you picked.
Does anyone have a map showing the location of the 4 cabanas? We picked cabana 2, and I'm questioning if we should've picked one of the others.
Thank you for your detailed review and awesome pictures.
Sounds like a fantastic room!
If you haven't added a description/pictures to the YC View post, I can do that.
What was the bedding- 2 Queen beds? 2 queen beds
Was there a daybed? Yes - the couch/fold down daybed. I will say that my son is about 6 ft tall and he would not have fit on that bed comfortably.
Shower and tub or shower only? Shower and tub - 2 sinks at the vanity
I love love love the Mickey ears in the fireworks. Never seen that before. Was this real time or a long exposure photo? Samsung Galaxy S9.....just a snapshot. The quality of camera phones is insane.
May I include this in the FAQ Post "Can you see fireworks from the resort?" - Of course!!
That's great that you performed a time-test of the two routes to the lobby. I appreciate that kind of scientific discovery and commitment!
Anything for science!!!!! If anyone wants to fund more "Disney Science Experiments" I'm always up for a return trip.
When you say that you picked cabana 2 do you mean the day of you picked cabana 2 when you checked in or when you called to reserve the cabana you were able to choose a cabana number?
