Disney's ART OF ANIMATION RESORT Information & Questions

The last 2 times I stayed there (June and October 2023) - I thought the safe didn’t work. I entered a pin like I had in the past but would always get an error code - never called about it not working but I did see where there a request for a cc, but wasn’t interested enough to try to pay for it so I didn’t use it.

Just got back from a great week at AoA. Maybe I missed this, but when did they start charging you to use the in-room safe?
Returned yesterday from a stay in a Finding Nemo suite, used the safe, and did not pay for it. It was a normal, 4-digit code type of hotel safe.

We were in a Cars suite and the pin pad mechanism even had a credit card stripe reader built in. I just assumed it was going to charge me something to create a pin, but didn't give it a try.

UPDATE: I called Guest Services and they confirmed that some rooms have an option to use a credit card in lieu of a regular PIN code for the safe. So @bluezy was correct. If I had spent more than 30 seconds looking at it, I probably would have figured that out.

I have an August trip planned, Lion King Suite. Last time I stayed at Art of Animation was 2021, during COVID, so I'm not sure if things are the same.

With buses, I know I need to be at the bus stop 90 minutes before early entry. (This worked really well last summer at All Star Music) Is it the same for the SKyliner?

For early entry at DHS at 8:30am, I arrive at Skyler at 7am? And I should expect it start loading at 730am?

THanks for your help

Yep, that will work. It may start operation a bit before 7:30, as well. You will transfer at the CBR station.

Yes, get to Skyliner about 90 minutes before EE opening. And don't be discouraged if the line looks crazy long. It moves quickly. When we were there in June 2022, we got in line at about 6:55 a.m. (for an 8:00 EE at DHS) and the line was wrapped all the way back to Bldg. 3 at Pop (I believe they now have a line from each resort and CMs merge it at the station). I thought we'd never get there in time. We actually were through security and standing in line at the tapstyles at DHS by 7:22. They let us in at about 7:40. I don't know exactly what time Skyliner started running that day, but it was definitely running when we walked out of our building at about 6:45.
