PLAY Pavilion Remains Paused at EPCOT​

Walking by the venue shows construction walls up, a pathway to the Pavilion removed, and no visible work. We haven’t seen any exterior work in over a year and Disney continued their silence on the project even when announcing major updates to previously announced projects recently.

They need someplace to use the EPCOT walls when other projects are finished...

Social Distancing and Plexiglass removed from Rise of the Resistance

For over 2 years we have seen plexiglass dividers on the First Order Star Destroyer on Rise of the Resistance right before you get separated into the cells. We also saw markers on the ground where the guards asked you to stand, to also help with the social distancing.

The divider and the markers on the ground are no longer there.

Joe Gardner and Mr. Mittens From ‘Soul’ Added to Pixar Pal-A-Round at Disney California Adventure​

The Pixar Pal-A-Round at Disney California Adventure has been receiving a number of updates to reflect the latest movies. Earlier this year, we saw characters from “Onward” and “Turning Red” added to gondolas, and now Joe Gardner and Mr. Mittens from “Soul” have taken over another one.

The blue gondola, seemingly the one that used to feature Nemo and Dory, has been replaced with “Soul.”

Joe Gardner is on one side.



Mr. Mittens is on the other side.

I got one of these from a DISboard friend a few months ago.
What is interesting is that my pin and water bottle are different than what is pictured.

Disney World Undertakes $2.6 Million Fiber Optic Project in Partnership With Reedy Creek Improvement District​

Walt Disney Parks and Resorts has filed a notice of commencement on a $2.6 million fiber optic project that will be in partnership with the Reedy Creek Improvement District.

According to the permit, the multi-million dollar project will see Disney utilizing a lot of RCID property along many of the main roadways that act as transportation veins to various landmarks within Walt Disney World property.

Disney Cruise Line Extends Cruise Date Flexibility Through September 2022​

Disney Cruise Line has extended their Cruise Date Flexibility option to all sailings commencing on or before September 30, 2022. Previously, it was only available to sailings through May 2022.

With Cruise Date Flexibility, guests can change their sale date up to 15 days before their cruise is scheduled to depart.

I think we called through the DVC line last time to be able to get our discount. I wonder if they will be available online this time with those discounts? Or do we have to call because Disney has to verify that we have a hotel night already booked for the night we want tickets? Hmm....
