We leave in 12 days for WDW and I am new to all of this. I have been browsing your pics for a month now for incentive and advice on booking Reservations. I have most of our trip reserved for dinner, we are on the dining plan ( free dining ) woohoo!! but I am feeling a little overwhelmed by all the choices and opinions. I realize taste is a matter of opinion (we are self proclaimed foodies) and we do appreciate " authentic" ethnic food . I have booked us in a different ethnic TS restaurant for everynight we are in Disney. I would appreciate any help from anyone who wants to give us a little advice.
Thanks !!
If your really into ethnic foods (authentic) my recommendations are:
#1 is Boma!!! - the food is awesome. Its REALLY different than most food. It takes a LOT to make me think something is really different. Boma surprised me greatly.
Chef's Du France. - Where else can you eat snails???
No, but seriously... its awesome. The ambiance (IMO) sucks. Its crowded, tight, loud, and it gave me a headache. The people didn't take well to children, but with all the noise... who cares? the food was superb. The French Onion Soup is to die for. My wife said the hamburger was the best hamburger she had ever eaten in her life. She said it was nothing like most hamburgers. I ragged on her for ordering a hamburger at a French restaurant (af all the things to order!) but she raved for weeks about that burger. It was her favorite entree of the trip.
Morocco!!! The food is pretty good, and definitely different, but its not as spicy as I had hoped. Even my wife commented that it was kinda bland. We titled it "Exotic and bland".
But the bellydancers show was great!
If theres a guy in your party he'll like it too!
Biergarten is great for the ambiance. (one of the best Ambiances in WDW), and the food is good. Mostly sausages, weiners, and beef with kraut. Lots of beer references.
Japan... awesome food. But you can probably get a japanese steakhouse meal in your town. Chances are you dont have an African restaurant (Boma) in your town!
Le Cellier is good, but not too exotic. Mostly steaks and such. Great cheeses!
Norway... It USED TO be the best (IMHO) TS in Epcot. (as far as food went) Now its tamed waaaay down and Americanized for little princesses. I do not recommend it anymore at all.
Yak & Yeti... dont know yet. I'll let you know in Sept.
theres my picks for ethnic!
Theres some awesome restaurants there. You cant really go wrong.
