Morning Strangers!

Just thought I would pop in and say hello. I have backed up and become a lurker, because seeing this place let's me know how much I miss not being at Disney.

My wife has told me we need to plan another trip since she was so ill on the last one and I don't think a day goes by that Mya doesn't say "Daddy, when are we going to ride the Teapots again"

So I guess it's time to save that pocket change and see what specials come up. I did just purchase 100 pins for trading, so that's a start. That pin trading was addictive!

p.s. Today is my wife and my Nineth Year Wedding Anniversary. Wow time flys!

Oh I almost forgot, congrats Alabama, you beat my Alma Mater. I was in shock standing there watching that knuckle ball go over the post. Your fan's were quite pleasant however.

Hooray! Those are fantastic grades! Congratulations.

I got my grades for my 2 little classes as well:

Utilization of Children's Literature in the Classroom - A-
Library Computer and Reference Skills - A-

I was pretty pleased considering I've been out of college since 1991. Monday is when classes start for my next 2 classes. Just 4 more after these and I'll have my Media Specialist certification! Yea!

You guys are making me want to go back to school. The problem is, I'm still not sure what I want to be when I grow up. But I do like going to classes and learning. I've always wanted to be a SAHM, and I do love it. The problem is that my youngest is in school all day, and my oldest heads for college in 3-1/2 years.

I have a BS in Biomedical Computing and have taken graduate courses in programming, toxicology, pathobiology, etc. Unfortunately, there isn't much to do with that around here (and I've been away so long that I'm outdated).

Thanks again for all your well wishes everyone! I'm 13 weeks along...due date is July 14th. We'll definitely try to find out what we're having when we get the ultrasound in March. Of course, we'll keep you all posted.

Oh, and Tammi, Kevin never puts tickers in our signature. Not for babies or birthdays or Disney trips. He just likes pictures.

Where is everyone? It is awfully slow today.

I have been working on paperwork for my Brownie troop since about 9:30am today. You heard me write, so much for the joke of its only an hour a week. I love my troop, I hate all the paperwork. Every time we don't meet at our normal meeting location or time we need a 3 page form filled out. Plus we have to do permission slips for all of the girls. I totally understand why all of it is necessary but I am just getting frustrated.

Especially since the permission slip which is formatted to fit on one piece of paper is taking up two before I fill in the lines to add information. 3 lines are on the second page. Any ideas on how to print on one page, I can't change the margins since it is already formatted. This is in Microsoft Word. I have used it before and it has been on one page but not today.

Also I checked on our council's page there it is a PDF file that cannot be filled out on the computer. Why don't they have it that you can fill out on the computer?

ETA: I figured it out I opened it on another computer and it worked fine. Still is messed up on the laptop.

I'm just grateful that the technology exists to let me do my schooling online. This way, when the twins are in school full time, I'll have my MS certification and can apply for work in a school or town library (my dream job, by the way, surrounded by books). I've been feeling guilty lately that my DH has to work his paid job, and also freelance jobs for us to make ends meet. And to top it off, he just let me get this surgery which was quite expensive. He's the greatest guy and I love him. I can't wait until I can give something back to the household. I could have gone back to teaching, but that's not something that I really want to do anymore. Been there, done that.

Kate has started her own thread and says this and PM is the best way to reach her. So I don't know how much of her we will be hearing from her in this thread.

It is so unfortunate that our happy home is being torn apart again, because people are not thinking before they act. Apparently people are not following our joint New Years resolution.

This is really frustrating me. Before you send any message please stop and reread your message before you send it to decide whether or not it can be misconstued and will be considered offensive to someone else. It might take another 30 seconds but I think it is worth it to prevent frustrating someone else.

If this seems harsh it is no way shape or form intended to be. I tried to word things as nicely as possible if I didn't succeed I am sorry.
