Disembark on a 3-4 B-to-B?

I've done a search of the boards but am still unclear, if you do a 3+4 night Dream B-to-B, do you have to disembark and reboard? Does it depend on how many b-to-b cruisers are on board, seems like some had to disembark and at other times, did not.

Each B2B process is different. That said, there is one thing that is the same: you will receive a letter in your room at the end of your first leg telling you what the procedure will be for your specific B2B.

AFAIK, B2B cruises that the turnaround day is in the US, do have to disembark, in order to zero out the ship. It's my understanding that those cruises that turnaround in a foreign port do not. However, our B2B turnaround day in 2010 (Med & WBTA in Barcelona) we did disembark.

In your letter you will be directed how your specific disembarkation will take place. Sometimes you will meet in a lounge or other area to disembark as a group with others. Sometimes you will just be directed as to what time you will disembark.

When we did a 4/3 B2B from Port Canaveral, we were required to disembark about 9:15, go very quickly thru Customs, and take the stairs on the left back to the top level of the terminal. About 10:00 2 CMs appeared and processed our paperwork for the next cruise and we boarded again--before the terminal opened to incoming guests. There was only one cabin besides ours doing B2B.

In Barcelona, we did not have to get off the ship at all.

We also disembarked for about an hour... led back onboard thru a side door before rest of people boarded.
