Had to look that one up...I'd have to agree the British definition is more fun!Suspenders are way more fun over here....
Take a hit of bourbon. Some people say add honey to it but why waste good bourbon? Get better soon.
Agree, they used to have a good breakfast but now it is a character meal. Off the list now. I really like Trattoria and hope this one sticks.
Hope everyone has a good day and get better Norm.
Sorry to hear that Norm. Hope you get feeling better soon and it's not that crud.
?
Last day in the office this week, on the road for a basketball tournament tomorrow. I hope the coach let's me start.
I saw the picture and the before and after x-ray.
Feel better Norm, remember booze makes everything better
Bourbon, hot lemon, honey. Works a charm. Maybe not right now, coz its probably about 11AM over your way. Feel better mate.
I really want to go to Il Mulino, but I can never seem to get round to it. Never been in the Swolphin....
Yep, be definitely interested to hear about it, as well as Ravello from CJ. I've always shyed away from Italian at WDW, apart from the newbie rookie no research mistake last minute walk in of Tony's. I still bear the scars.
That brings up a whole lot of British words that mean something totally different in America...
British boot = trunk
British bonnet = hood
British garden = yard
British f*g = cigarette
British bum = butt
British cracker = confetti party favor
British bugger = messed up (or someone who messes with bugs?)
British rubbish = garbage
British checker = Playing piece in a game using the same board as chess
British chips = french fries
These are some of the ones I can remember...I know there are a lot more. I had learned a bunch when I was supposed to be stationed at Alconbury, but alas, that didn't happen.
Dealt. If you find me again at WDW, you can buy me dinner at Il Mulino.
budgie smugglers.........You missed some like wanker, bollocks, cheeky, ...
Makeup at a water park. Must stop, hurting sides.

I saw the picture and the before and after x-ray, they were amazing.
You could always try smoke signals.
Thanksgiving is where we give thanks that a group of English went on a voyage to create footlongs and Bourbon, two of western civilisations greatest achievements. Obviously the footlong has to come with everything.

I have an ADR for Il Mulino in February. My wife is Italian and is an amazing cook, so most Italian places leave me feeling meh. Speaking of which...counting the days to Christmas and lasagna. I'll let you know after we get back how Il Mulino rates on my very discriminating scale.

We don't call it Canadian bacon and we never gave it that name.
The stuff the foolish Americans buy thinking it's Canadian.

Job 1 done for the week. I'd call it, but i would just go hack up a lung on a princess. Maybe tomorrow will be better.
Thanks. I tried bourbon, that's my preventative medicine. I need to start drinking more to keep from getting sick.
Have you tried the character breakfast at Trattoria? DW wants to try it. Me, I'd rather not.
Tony's was rough. It may be better with alcohol. I would try it again.

I remember looking at Tony's when I was making ADRs for MK and I thought...no, I remember walking past there and thinking it didn't smell right/good. After seeing the comments here, glad I avoided it.At the mention of Tony's I threw up in my mouth a little bit. Last time I was there I ordered the baked Ziti. It was a plate of elbow macaroni, a god awful sauce and some nondescript cheese sprinkled on top. The kid wouldn't let me go into the kitchen and Gibbs slap him.
Ya think?Little touchy on the subject?
Oooh, if it's that bad, I definitely need to never consider it in the future.NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! I'd compare it to wanting BBQ and getting a McRib at McDonalds,
Yeah, when I lived at HAFB and up and down the keys, I remember thinking pretty often "Dude, you have no business wearing that...leave the bikinis to the girls where they belong!"Unfortunately budgie smugglers are often spotted when I go to the Keys.
I never said it was a comprehensive guide.tion guide.
You missed some like wanker, bollocks, cheeky, ...
Working too much...and doing nothing that requires eelC'mon, everyone enjoys a bit of........eel.
Where's Jeff when you need him?
budgie smugglers.........
Have you visited Chicago? You have to try a Chicago dog. Nothing like a street dog in New York though.
I grew up at my Grandmother's table. Homemade pasta, meatballs and sauce you would kill for (except when she put squid in it). Mulino was good, not great but would like to try it again. Much prefer Trattoria. I love their Bolognese sauce.
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! I'd compare it to wanting BBQ and getting a McRib at McDonald's.

Yes mate, we went in 2008 for a couple of weeks. Got to go to Wrigley and have a dog there. You're right though, there's something about buying a Nathans on a street corner that brings an edge to the dog. Bit like Pizza by the slice in Rome or NY or Chips out of newspaper over here.Have you visited Chicago? You have to try a Chicago dog. Nothing like a street dog in New York though.
No subway?I'll have to try one if those hot dogs one of those days, but i only plan to go to New York if i in the lotto and can arrive via limo and never have to drive.
I had Penne Pomodoro, I figured they couldn't mess that up. How wrong I was.Last time I was there I ordered the baked Ziti
We don't have those over here. I don't think I'm missing much. The McRib might be more tolerable if you're drunk.
Isn't it Starwood? I always found Starwood hotels had really comfy beds and good toiletries.Nice place and the beds were real comfy.
I gets worse when you throw accents into it. I have to say my name in the States with an American twang, otherwise no-one has a clue what I'm on about.I ended up looking up on wikipedia and there are a TON of 'em. So, yep missed a LOT.
I've had hot dogs in NY. I've had Pizza in Fierenze (Florence). While in Rome, we had some amazing sit down meals at night.Yes mate, we went in 2008 for a couple of weeks. Subway sucks!! Oh, you meant the transportation option not the sandwich chain. No subway?
Nope, not at all. Think spam pressed into the shape of ribs and bbq sauce on it.We don't have those over here. I don't think I'm missing much.
Huh? How many different ways could you pronounce Dan?I gets worse when you throw accents into it. I have to say my name in the States with an American twang, otherwise no-one has a clue what I'm on about.
Can't find a praying hands emoji or something like that, so...Hey fellas,
Thanks to all of you who were checking in on us or following along as my daughter had surgery this week. The surgery itself was a complete success--no issues whatsoever. My daughter is doing really well overall. She came home yesterday. However, she was finally off the IV meds and was in a lot of pain yesterday. She had a decent night last night and seems a little better today, so hopefully that will be the worst of it.

The year was 2010. I had chicken parmesan. I didn't know it could taste that bad. And it was my birthday to top it all off. Ruined it.I had Penne Pomodoro, I figured they couldn't mess that up. How wrong I was.
That's one place I really want to go one day. Not only for the food (which must be incredible) but the history and architecture. Looks like a beautiful place.I've had Pizza in Fierenze (Florence).
Saw a few of the FB updates. Been thinking of you and your family. Hopes for a speedy recovery. Thanks to all of you who were checking in on us or following along as my daughter had surgery this week. Whelp...Tony's just keep getting pushed further and further into the not if I'm starving and nothing else is open category. The year was 2010. I had chicken parmesan. I didn't know it could taste that bad. And it was my birthday to top it all off. Ruined it.
I figured I might as well share my Tony's horror story.
I liked Florence better than Rome. Rome was okay, but had a more commercial feel and dirtier. Don't get me wrong, it was cool seeing the Colloseum and the vatican and many of the fountains. Florence was glorious to me and seemed more "Italian", but what was best was the agriturismo in Sicily and driving around to Palermo, Cefalu, Catania, Mt Aetna, etc.. Some of the most beautiful countryside, but also some of the tiniest of roads. If you're ever going to Sicily, I would highly recommend Agriturisimo Santa Venera near Polizzi Generosa. I will also say gelato in Italy is phenominal! If I recall correctly, the gelato place at downtown Disney is 1 of 2 stores and the other one is in Florence. Almost certain that's the other store we stopped at when in Florence. That's one place I really want to go one day. Not only for the food (which must be incredible) but the history and architecture. Looks like a beautiful place.
Thats pretty good. Look for a monologue for a guy called Mickey Flanagan. He speaks like me, we are both from the East End. If you web search Mickey Flanagan come in your house. It's nsfw.Speaking of "American" accent, this is hillarious if you haven't already seen it.
Its my surname that's the issue. When you say it in an English accent, it just dissipates, and I have to say it at least 3 times, so I have to affect the accent to get it over the line.Huh? How many different ways could you pronounce Dan?
That's almost a dare. It's an experience. Be near the toilet
Nice one Mark, all the best to you and yours from over here. Hopefully last night was a blip and it will get easier from now on.The surgery itself was a complete success--no issues whatsoever. My daughter is doing really well overall. She came home yesterday

I don't do fb, so if you could post before/after xrays here, I've heard they're pretty amazing.

We went on our honeymoon 17 years ago and it wasn't very good.

OK boys, that's it. I'm calling it. Work week over. Everyone out. Last one in Shula's Lounge for Old Fashioneds has to take Nala home. And let me tell ya, she loves to pin ya down. You'll definitely feel the love tonight. Anyone who get hammered and suggests Tony's or a McRib is straight in the penalty box.
Looking forward to the Gators/UAB tomorrow as a brand new fan. It's not on our feed this week, they are carrying the South Florida game.
