"Commando" FAMILY WDW VACATION (OCT 1-OCT10) - DAY 2 Picture added

Day 2 -Sunday ,October 2
We woke up bright and early & got to the MK before opening. Mickey & the gang now “open” the park by getting off the train at the park entrance & singing. Mickey then counts down from 10,9,8,7,6,5,4,3,2,1 ..the park is open!!! We make a mad dash to Tinkerbell’s treasures in the hope that Sophie will get to wake up Tink, but no luck. (that time!) So off to Peter Pan, Philharmagic, & Pooh. We got on all & fast passed them so we got to go on at least twice that morning. The crowds were light before 10am. At 10am we had breakfast at CRT. Cinderella, Sleeping Beauty, Alice, Mary Poppins, Wendy, & Belle were all in attendance. Our server was very nice. We had the eggs, bacon, cheesy potatoes, rolls, fruit..all very good. We were there for some time waiting for Cinderella to come over but did not feel rushed by out server. The kids all got autographs & pictures. Of course Katie wanted one of here with Mary Poppins alone & Sophie wanted her & Sleeping Beauty alone. After breakfast we headed over to Adventureland to Pirate of the Caribbean with no wait & Tomorrowland to Buzz Lightyear. We also had to see Carousel of Progress which my whole family likes. This was a mnsshp day so Magic Kingdom closed at 6pm. We got to see many people coming in costume. Our party wasn’t until 10/6 but it was great to see all the costumes. We waited for the boat to Wilderness Lodge as we had a dinner adr at Whispering Canyon Café. We had never been to the WL so we were looking forward to seeing it in person. The boat took over 40 minutes! We got to WL & the lobby was very expansive as in the pictures. We went to WCC for dinner. At first the meal went well. We got straws thrown at us & the kids had to deliver ketchup to the other tables but that got old fast. One of the CM’s was walking around yelling “I have a boyfriend & he is cute one!” which was funny. We ended up with a very non-Disney like server who was just plain rude. We had an adr for 6pm & we didn’t leave until 8:30 due to poor & very slow service. The kids were so tired & we were all annoyed at our server that it just stopped being fun at that point. We left WL & took a cab back to POR. Not a great meal but we had many more wonderful dining experiences to come so we put it behind us & looked forward to the next day. Daniel’s tooth was loose so he was very excited about losing his first tooth at Disneyworld! Off to bed…I had made the kids p.j.’s & pillowcases with designs from the “homemade shirt” thread. The kids loved having the pillowcases with their names on them.
