Casino options near Disney World?

DH doesn't always want to be at the parks with us and he mentioned finding a casino. So does anyone know of the closest casino or gambling place? This was brought up cause we just spent the weekend in Atlantic City which is only an hour drive away from us.

There is the Victory Casino cruise at Port Canaveral about 1 hr. away. It is on the Beach line ( Toll road) and sails twice daily.

Hard Rock Casino in Tampa, about 45 minutes from the Fort.

1) I recommend the Victory Cruise.
2) Land-based casinos cannot have all the normal casino games, such as Craps.
. . . it seems like all the games that have favorable odds for players are nixed
3) Maybe by the time of your vacation it will be allowed, but the agreement with the Seminoles forbids such.

Victory cruise does offer all the other games, black jack, craps, etc. You can't start gambling until 6 miles out to sea. Then they turn on the machines and the fun begins. Once you get to that 6 mile mark on the way back they shut everything down again. We have not been on the cruise for a long time, but it was a great experience. You didn't have to pay back then to go on the cruise, just had to make a reservation. Food was pretty good and the drinks where great!

Unfortunately, there are no casinos located in the immediate vicinity of Disney World due to Florida's strict gambling laws.

However, if you are willing to venture a little further out, there are several casino options within driving distance of Disney World. The Seminole Hard Rock Casino in Tampa and the Victory Casino Cruises in Cape Canaveral are both popular choices among locals and tourists alike.

Another option would be to check out some of the online casinos that are available in Florida. While these may not offer the same experience as a brick-and-mortar casino, they can still provide a fun and convenient way to play your favorite games from the comfort of your hotel room.

Wow, you just brought back a thread I started 7yrs ago. I see you just joined. In the future make sure you check dates on the thread before posting. The thread recommendation list they usually have at the bottom here likes to bring up some very old postings sometimes.

He ended up just hanging out with us in the parks. It was to much work getting to a casino.
