Bryan and Liz's Wishes Wedding 03/22/12 WP/ADH Flashback to our PS w/ pics!

The direct link shows a red "x" too.

Sorry about that!! Once last shot, hopefully third time (and a different site) is the charm :thumbsup2

Still the dreaded red "x". Sorry. I can see the picture of the dress you posted so it must be something with the monogram image.

Your food all sounds so good! I'm also trying to come up with a menu that deals with picky eaters - my DF absolutely hates anything with onions in it, a good portion of his family is some version of vegetarian (some are vegan, some are vegetarians, and some eat chicken and fish but no red meat). My family loves meat! And my brother is the pickiest eater in the world - he basically only eats some form of bread products (pizza, mostly). My place has tons of the choices and literally the only thing he will eat on the menu is mozzarella sticks... and french fries from the kids' section ;) But it looks like you've got some really good variety and I would think everyone will be happy!

And I can see your monogram coming up, very nice! You're fortunate to have such a talented friend!

I love the bouquet and the dress and well, just about everything you've picked so far....

Thanks everyone!!

Sorry for the huge span of no posting, but I finally decided that maybe it was time to resurrect the PJ and try this again;)
For an update on our lives: DF graduated from college at the beginning of May, the day after we packed up our entire apartment and moved out to CT (where I'm originally fun), he started his full time job and I continued the job hunt and the hunt for a place to live. And then about 2 weeks ago I got a call being offered a full time position as a summer intern at the same company DF works for AND we found the perfect rental for us and we move in next weekend!!! Oh and we also adopted a new kitten! Her name is Moonpie (the name is from Big Bang Theory...I'm a huge fan so it was inevitable!).

In wedding related news...I can't even remember where I left off :rolleyes1 so forgive me if I repeat myself a little. A couple weeks ago three of my four bridesmaids and I went and ordered their dresses, now I just have to track down the last one and get her to order hers so that the shop will "officially" order the dresses (they won't order them until all the girls have gotten fitted so that they all come in at the same time). I also picked out a necklace to go with the dresses.

The necklaces are from etsy and will be made with fuschia beads to match the wedding colors.
I also bought a rehearsal dinner dress that I am in love with!

Sorry if the pic is small it's from my cell so i couldn't adjust the size too much.

We've also added an additional member to our wedding party. The flower girl has an older sister who was starting to feel left out not being in the wedding and since it was bothering me to have such a lopsided wedding party (4 girls, 6 guys, i know it's not a big deal nowadays but it was bothering me!) so we made her a junior bridesmaid and she is going to be escorted by DF's brother :goodvibes So here is the dress we picked for the junior bridesmaid (she's going to be turning 9 next year so we wanted something inbetween cutesy and grown up)
wi5wg1.jpg

So we picked this dress from Alfred Angelo and the sash with be in fuschia (BMs will be in navy and Junior BM and Flower Girl will be in fuschia). And the flower girls dress will be this dress also from Alfred Angelo

And here is the inspiration picture I'm using for the groomsmen boutonnieres

the only difference will be that the lego figures will all be star wars legos (DF is a HUGE fan and so are his friends) and the flower will probably be a dahlia. I thought they were really cute and would personalize them for the boys.

We've also just recently decided where we are staying the week of our wedding! After much debating and LOTS of pricing we finally decided to rent DVC points and stay at the Boardwalk Villas for the week! Meghan (my MOH) has a coworker who literally owns enough points to rent I think she said 4 weeks worth of points to stay at BLT in a year so hopefully she will spare some points for me to rent from her. Fingers crossed!! :thumbsup2 So our tentative plans for our wedding festivity are:

Sunday: check in to BWV
Monday: TBD
Tuesday: Bachelorette Party...i think! lol
Wednesday: rehearsal dinner at Jiko
Thursday: Wedding!! staying at GF for our free night
Friday: MK and DHS portrait session followed by drinking around the world and potentially a family only get together (it's very rare that we all get together since we all live so far apart)
Saturday: leave for our cruise

Our honeymoon is going to be a 7-night cruise with Royal Caribbean on their brand new boat the Oasis of the Seas!

We are going to be staying in an oceanview room with a private balacony and the ports are St. Maarten, St. Thomas, and Nassau. So we are super excited! I've only been on one cruise (in December of last year over Christmas) and I've completely caught cruise fever. It's the perfect honeymoon for us because I have to constantly be entertained :rotfl: so between activities on the boat and islands that should be enough to keep me busy! :lmao:

I think that's about it for now. I have some more DIY projects that I'm finishing up/ getting ready to start. The list right now is:
guestbook, door hangers, t-shirts, tote bags, welcome bags, pomanders, etc. so hopefully I will be back soon with another update!!

Love all the updates!! Those boutonnieres are awesome!!! Are you making them yourself?? Love them!!
Love your rehearsal dinner dress! It's gorgeous!
Your wedding/honeymoon plans sound great!! Cant wait to see your DIY projects!!!

I love the necklace! That's going to look awesome! And those boutinneres are so cute :) What a great idea!

Your honeymoon sounds like a blast. DF and I went on our first cruise together last year (when he proposed), and we absolutely loved it. Can't wait to do another one some day :goodvibes

Great update! I love your flower girl dress...it is the same one I used and it is absolutely adorable on!

Obsessed with those necklaces. I didn't know you could get them in fuchsia too! Ah-mazing. You should send me the link so I can drool over them more.

And I'm glad you resurrected the PJ. Not that I don't know what's going on, but I like reading it too :yay:

great PJ! I love all of the items expecially the bouts and the lauriet necklaces for the girls!!! What person on Etsy did you get them from (if you don't mind sharing)

Thanks for reading! :goodvibes

The necklaces are from seller Cathy5591 and she has been absolutely wonderful to work with!! She is very quick to respond if you have an questions and I love that she keeps me in the loop about the progress (she actually just emailed me telling me that supplies are in and she is going to have them done in a few days and I just ordered them like a week and a half ago):cool1:

The the picture of the bouts was actually a google search, I haven't found anyone that makes them so I might try making them myself pending on how adventurous I'm feeling :rotfl: So if I decide to make themself I will definitely post pictures and instructions on how I made them :)

Yet again I have neglected my poor planning journal :sad2:

We are at our 8 month mark (as of tomorrow) and I'm both excited and very nervous. I looked back at my first entry on my PJ and realized that I started it at the 16 months mark and 8 months have gone by pretty fast, which means that the last 8 months are probably going to go by even faster. Which again is both exciting and terrifying. Terrifying because it seems like there are so many things left to do that I'm not sure I'm going to have time to do it all. But without further ado here is a brief update (unfortunately no pics for now since I am work :rolleyes1)

My bridal shower is quickly approaching and I'm so excited for it  My MOH is so incredibly creative and talented that I cannot wait to see what she has planned and I know whatever it is...it's going to be totally awesome :cool1: The only downside is that the adorable floral printed Dessy dress that I ordered for the shower is not going to be in, in time. I ordered the dress from the same store that my bridesmaids got their dresses from, but the owner had a misunderstanding and didn't think that I needed the dress until March, so a month ago I asked if she knew when it would be in and she said she hadn't ordered it yet, but assured me that she could get it in. 3 weeks ago she called me and said she was positive she could get it in but I needed to come in just to double check my sizes before they ordered. And then 2 weeks ago she called me and apologized and said that there was no way she could get the dress in :sad2: I was a little bit heartbroken, but I guess it just wasn't meant to be. So I did some searching online and found another dress that I liked and ordered it, it came in on Monday and was shipped back for a refund on Tuesday because it was u-g-l-y. Online it was so cute in person...not so much. So my search continues and hopefully soon something will come up.

In other news we are very close to paying off our wedding bands and I can't wait to bring them home and take dozens of pictures to show everyone. I love my wedding band and I think Bryan is a little worried that I'm going to start wearing it before we are actually married

I'm also about 28 days away from finding out if my MOH's co-worker can get us into the BWV for the wedding so cross your fingers we get it! Although if we get our back up choices I can't say I would be upset since our second choice is AKL and our 3rd choice is BCV :goodvibes And, we are only 2 months, 2 weeks and 2 days away from our planning session! I'm very excited but I have this fear that I'm not going to be prepared enough. I have an organizer started with pictures of all our inspiration pictures and whatnot but I'm not sure exactly what I need to bring. I would ask my planner or her assistant but my planner never responds to my emails and rumor is that my planner has been promoted to a wedding planner....I'm tempted to email her and beg her to take me on!

Hopefully, I will be back soon to update my DIY projects...I swear one of these days I'm actually going to finish them!:rolleyes1 Although the list of projects is growing everyday so hopefully that will be my motivation to get my butt in gear and finish them lol

Yeay!!!!!!!!!!!! :yay: (I'm 11 days behind you!)

Yay for getting closer!! Before we know it, it'll be our turn!! :cool1:

Just a brief update:

MY DRESS CAME IN TODAY!!!!!:yay::banana::yay::banana::yay::banana:
To say I'm excited is an understatement lol I get to make an appointment to go back and try it on, on Saturday and since I officially will own the dress I can take pictures of me in it, so guaranteed I will be back with an update soon! :rotfl:

So with just 23 days left to go (and now that things have (hopefully) started quieting down) I decided that it was time to revive my PJ so that when I get back from the wedding and honeymoon I can start a TR...It seems so weird that I can remember counting down to the wedding back when it was in the 700s and now I am just 23 short days away from getting married!! Usually whenever I think about this I get very excited and then have a minor panic attack about it because I'm always worried I'm going to forget to do something! But hopefully posting back in my PJ (if it will still have me since I've neglected it for so long) will help me remember what I've done so far and remind me of what still needs to be done!

I promise I will be back soon with pictures of everything that we have done so far (and hopefully a BEO to help others), but for now I'm back to work

Whoo, let's get this party started!:cool1:

Thanks doll!!! :cutie:

Ok so here goes nothing:
Here's a review of the details:

After much headache and heartache we finally have squared away our room at the BWV which we are so excited to stay at :) We borrowed points from my MOH's friend back in August and thought everything was squared away (boy was I wrong!). Fast-forward to February. I go to log into my Disney account and stare at the little countdown, that says you'll be here in this many days, longingly when I notice that it says I have no room reservations. I try refreshing/retrieving/finding my reservations and get the notification that my reservations are no longer in the system. I called Disney Tech Support, Disney Reservations, and Disney Vacation Club none of which were any help to me (I knew DVC wasn't going to talk to me but I was desperate so I figured it was worth a shot at that point). The girl I rented points from says it's still listed under her account information and upcoming trips and says that she'll call disney and get me a confirmation email just in case. A week later I have no email and m reservations still can't be found. My mom apparently had emailed my planner to let her know what was going on and to see if there was anyone that we could talk to, to get this straightened out, and my planner calls me back and says that DVC is telling her the same thing (they can't talk to her either) but that as of Feb. 5th my reservation was cancelled. She said to contact my DVC member and to try and get it resolved and if I couldn't to let her know and we would start seeking out some way to resolve this issue. I contact DVC member and she let's me know that we are still set and that the reason I couldn't access my reservation was because they updated m reservation # and she forgot to tell me....Because apparently I don't need to know important things like that!! But anyways long story short we are still staying at a Deluxe Studio at BWV :)

We are staying 3/18-3/24 with reservations a
Sunday- 'Ohana for dinner
Monday- CRT for breakfast (I've never eaten there so I'm very excited!) and MOH and I are going to Crystal Palace for Dinner while Bryan and his groomsmen go to Raglan Road
Tuesday- Cape May Cafe for breakfast (with part of our bridal party)
Wednesday- Tusker House for breakfast
Friday- California Grill for dinner (also very excited!)

Tuesday the girls will also be going to a Tomorrowland Terrace Dessert Party as a girls night out/bachelorette party while I send the boys off to DisneyQuest!
Our Rehearsal Dinner was originally going to be at Jiko (since that's where we got engaged), but we did not have enough people to meet the minimum F&B without supplying a bottle of wine for literally every person....So we switched and are having it at the Whitehall Room and Patio.
The wedding will take place at the wedding pavilion and the reception will be at the Atlantic Dance Hall.
And we will leave on Saturday after the wedding to go on a 7-night cruise with Royal Caribbean on the new boat Oasis of the Seas :cool1:
