April and Jeffery's Wishes Wedding May 14, 2011 - WP/LS - I'm Married!!!

Here are our welcome bags for our guests. We had 50 adults and 10 kids in our guest list. That equaled to 30 welcome bags. The bags for the bridal party had the same stuff, but different information.

We bought the mickey vineylmation soaps from etsy. We put them in little bags with confetti paper. I forgot to put a little tag on the bag and a couple people thought it was a gummy mickey and so they took a bite out of it. We couldn't believe they couldn't tell it was soap.

I also made covers for chocolate bars that we put in the welcome bags.

Can you please tell me where or how you made the autograph books, I LOVE them and I was thinking of making them myself from scrapbooking things but that would take a long time and more money.

Our flight to Florida went really smooth. We had a short layover in Detroit. My mom flew with us and because we were silver members for Delta, we were able to get her seat upgraded to first class for free, since it was Mother's Day. She really enjoyed it. Our seats on the second leg of our trip were right by the exit door, so we had the stewardesses sitting right in front of us. One of the stewards asked us if we minded if his friend Andy sat with him. We were confused but we told him that we didn't mind. Found out during take off that Andy was a stuffed monkey that he carries around and talks to. The other stewardess just rolled their eyes at him. He was definitely interesting, but funny and entertaining.

When we got to Disney, we checked into our room at Saratoga Springs and unpacked. We put the welcome bags together and then went the bed.

The next day, Jeffery and I woke up and we went to get our marriage license. It did not take us very long at all. It was a very easy process. We went to the Osceola county court house. Afterwards we went to Costco to get water and food for the week.

When we got back to our room we put labels on the water bottles that I made that matched the candy bars. Then we went and delivered the bags. This took about 3 hours. We kept getting lost and all of our guests stayed at different hotels. We had 10 different stops to make.

By the time we were done we were ready for dinner and a drink. We decided to go to TREX at Downtown Disney. Afterwards we walked around and of course, stopped at Ghirardelli. Then home and to bed.

I had some help from the DisSigners on the discussion board. They created the pages for me and then I went to artscow.com and uploaded them and printed the books. They were 7X5 and personalized for the kids. I put in pages for the characters I knew they would see at the park. My girls loved them and so did the characters. The pages in Disney's autograph books are blank. The characters all got really excited to see they got their own page. It was great. A lot of people asked me where I got the book and when I told them I made them, they said I should go into business with them. They loved them. I don't know how that would work, since I didn't design the pages.

I love the autograph books!! I have used the same pages from the Creative DISigns board to make autograph books, but I printed and bound them myself which was a lot of work!!! Your's is a much better way!!
I am not sure if you were serious about the business idea, but the clip-art the girls over on the board use, cannot be used for profit making purposes. Just beware!!!:thumbsup2

Our rehearsal day was great! We woke up early and my MOH and I loaded up the car and drove to the Movies resort to pick up my other BM. Then we headed to the wedding pavilion. Everyone else took the buses to the Grand Floridian and walked to the wedding pavilion.

The rehearsal part was great. It went very smoothly and I got rid of all my nervousness. Our planner, Carol, was amazing. She was great with answering all my questions and all my Mom's as well.

I made shirts for all the bridal party to wear to the rehearsal. They really enjoyed them.

After the rehearsal, we walked to the Whitehall Room at the Grand Floridian for our rehearsal lunch. We had it decorated in the Mad Hatter theme and we choose the Lady and the Tramp Rehearsal lunch menu, with a few changes.

Laine and another stylist from Beaute Speciale showed up right on time. In fact, our alarm did not go off so they ended up waking us up. They were so sweet while we took some time to wash our faces and brush our teeth. Then we got right to work.

They did an amazing job. Laine worked on me and the other girl worked on my MOH and BM. I thought we all looked great. I loved my hair and make up. MY MOH never wears make up or dresses up so she looked amazing.

Then Randy came around 11 am and started taking pictures as soon as he walked in the door. He was great. He made everyone feel so comfortable.

At 11:30 it was time to do our first look. We stayed the night at the Floridian so we just walked over to the lobby and my DF and I did our first look. He looked amazing.

Then we got in a limo, with my MOH and BM and went over to the Polynesian for pictures. It was so hot. I kept trying to air out my dress. It was also very bright so a lot of the pictures had us squinting. Randy suggested we get our sunglasses and take some pictures with them on. We liked that.

After an hour or so at the Polynesian, we went back over the Floridian and by then all our family had been transported from Saratoga via a mini bus. Then we did some family pictures and bridal party pictures. The kids did not like having to pose in the sun, but they did okay.

Then we got in the limo and went to the wedding pavilion. As soon as I stepped under the awning, it started to rain. Not just rain, but sheets of rain. Luckily by that time everyone was inside so no one got wet.

Our ceremony was beautiful. I loved everything. My DF's uncle performed the ceremony and he did a great job. He used the vows we wrote and took our thought and notes into consideration.

When the ceremony was over it was still raining so they set up everyone for our exit under the bell. By the time my Husband and I came out, the rain had stopped. We didn't get the exit that we wanted but it worked out fine and we still loved it.

Then everyone was escorted to the buses, except for the parents, bridal party and grandparents. They stayed and we did pictures in the pavilion before we all headed to the reception.
