Grilled P butter? I haven't tried that yet.. mmm possibilities for my breakfast in the morning. ::yes::

I played with dates and numbers on the wdw package deal.. about $800 for just me for a week (includes $200 GC). That's cheaper than going to DL for 4 days.

Alas, neither will be happening.

its tasty.. and easy. I just popped in my George Forman grill for a minute or two.

I wish I could go. I think we are going through vaca. withdrawal. We are actively planning our next one.. and we dont even know when we are going to be able to go. :lmao:

I didn't realize until I put it away, I made a giant vat of soup.. more than my usual. Or maybe it seemed like more since N had none of it.. he decided it was "weird" and J only had one bowl. I thought it was good so there HMMPH :snooty: more for hubby and I for lunch this week. :thumbsup2

I love making meals from little tidbits of this and that. In this case the broth was made from the carcass of the rotiserrie chicken, chopped/browned one breast (coupon deal), added organic carrots (free), onion (cheap), spices (cheap), can of organic fire roasted tomatoes (cheap after coupon), can of corn (cheap after coupon).

The most expensive thing was the tortilla chips, because I'm too lazy to make tortillas and crisp them myself. Of course those were a coupon deal too

As much as I find good deals, I have to make sure to create recipes to USE the items before it goes bad.

My newest project.. using Cherrios as a basis for baked goods and other snackage. I found several recipes to try.. instead of graham crackers I will make a crust out of crushed cheerios.

They were free, gotta use them somehow. But I draw the line at some of the creations, Crunchy apple cheerio salad?? umm nooo
:lmao:

:scared1: Gross. :lmao: I am a big one to just invent as I go along.. It almost always turns out great... once in a while though...:scared: Thankfully, not very often. :lmao:

I remember when I was on WIC, back when Mikalah was a baby... I had SO many boxes of cereal, it was ridiculous. I cant believe they give you so much of the stuff! I dont like cereal.. at all. So It takes us forever to go through the stuff.

This is the time of year that I typically plan a trip, sis even asked when I was going.. ummmm why you got money to spend??? :rolleyes1

Instead we are using the long weekend to stay at a casino, about an hour away. Hubby is in the mood to gamble, swimming during the day for all of us. Since it's a Sunday night in the dead of winter.. rates have dropped.

I want to set up camping trips for the season too-- in MN state parks they have cabins to rent, a little easier than tenting. But the bummer.. you have to reserve NOW, I looked at one and most of the weekends were already booked.. boohoo.

I have already instructed Frelan to pop on and give out the news.... And I will take my phone list with me to the hospital so I can call at least SOMEONE, if it happens to suddenly for one of us to jump on the computer. Im willing to bet Ill be induced though. I dont know why, Im only 29 weeks.. but I am feeling very discouraged about going into labor on my own. :rotfl2: how stupid is that? I have WEEKS before I have to worry about it.
That is good to know. Tell him we appreciate learning how to do it.

Work related. It's so dumb, the VP makes us do them every year but no one every checks to see if we've accomplished them or not. I don't see the point.
I wouldn't like that either. Blah!!!

Sooo... we had grilled peanut butter and banana sandwiches. :rolleyes1 :lmao: Healthy? No. But tasty! Needs honey. To bad hubby blew it up on the microwave. :sad2:
Ooh that sounds good!! :cloud9:

Instead of Rice Krispie bars, make them out of Cherrios and add some peanut butter if you like. They're good!!! :thumbsup2

I thik it's funny that while on WIC they give you tuna.. something preg women and children should NOT eat on a regular basis. Though the cheap stuff is better than the albacore in amt of mercury.

We always had too much of the baby cereal, J hated it. I would share it with my sis (her oldest was born 4 months after J) otherwise it would be outdated before he ate it.

I am thinking about planning a long weekend at the ocean this summer, and a weekend at the Wolf Lodge next Oct. I dont mind taking the babies to beach when they are babies... But I want them to be older when we go to the Wolf lodge thing..

I guess I can settle for Lake Superior in the summer, but it's cooooooooooooooooooold for swimming and splashing.. brrrrrrrrr.

Last year was the only place where I have lived a long distance from a lake or major river. There was a lake outside of the city, but you had to pay to get into the area.

Here I can walk across the street to visit the small lake, short drive to the Mississippi River or a larger lake. I've always been near water all my life from the vastness of Lake Superior to the smallest man made lake. I don't think I could survive being land locked.

We still have cereal on top the counter from Mikalah. Baby cereal.. Not that we would use it NOW! But we didnt use it.

The ocean here is NOT for swimming. But all the hotels have pools to swim in!

We are about 5 minutes from the Sound.. if that. Water is everywhere here.. I love it.

Alex just got in MONDO trouble. Mikalah ate all the brownies I had put on a plate for them to share.. When will I learn??:sad2: Anyways.. Instead of coming over and telling me that she ate them all, he threw a big fit. Whining, and yelling at her, me and Dh. So we said.. guess what? To bad! He then THROWS the little bit of brownie he had on the floor. Making a HUGE mess. It was his first time using the vacuum!!:thumbsup2 Now that he has learned the error of his ways, maybe he will get a brownie tomorrow.

A lot of my highschool friends have moved to Seattle, they tell me it's like having the sophistaction of the metro area with the beauty of an active seaport similar to Duluth/ Lake Superior. Kind of best of both worlds without the non ending winter. :lmao:

oh dear.. the joys of sibling rivalry. :rotfl: I can understand him getting upset, but yeah the way he showed his emotion.. not cool.

Bonus.. he's learning how to keep the home clean. ;)

I KNOW! We told him if he had just come over and said.. CALMLY... that Mikalah had eaten all the brownies, and could we get him another one.. NO PROBLEM. He would have had his brownie.

I know..;) :lmao: He was really pleased that he got to vacuum too.

sorry I skipped out, had to check on some ebay bids for hubby. He won all three that he wanted, he's now the happy owner of three more Hawaiian style shirts.. for the small cost of what he would have paid for one at the mall.

Not fancy like Hilo Hatties, just your run of the mill big guy cotton shirt.

It's become his trademark at school, teachers seek him out to see what he is wearing each day. Combine that with a lab coat and some stylin safety glasses.. he's way too cute. :lmao:
