I have no cash airmiles so the 30 airmiles is a no go for me ,,, I need a few travel things so I'll pick them up at Dollarama tomorrow and pick up 10 airmiles. I really hate offers that take 120 days to post.

Just a final post on my kitty, Molly.

She's over the Rainbow Bridge now with her step-brother, Bruno. She passed peacefully tonight in my DD15's arms in warm and toasty blanket. We all feel a sense of relief for her. Now, our sole focus turns to her biological brother, Stewie, who also has kidney disease. We are concerned for his mental state since he will be alone now.

how's this for a report? Poked my head out the door ....

This was yesterday mid afternoon

A bit later I snagged my magnet (thanks airmiles!)

Ran into a fellow collector while grabbing a bucket of maple popcorn
Found a random hidden photographer


It's not overly hot, but quite comfortable in tshirts and jeans. It was really really REALLY windy all day and in the evening it poured and was much cooler

Heads up if you booked a hotel with airmiles you no longer can cancel the accommodation online, you have to call airmiles and speak to a customer service ambassador. We cannot even call them today because they are not accepting any more calls and are not available on Sundays. I tried the Onyx line and that is the same message. Tried chat and you cannot cancel with Chat either. It is now a $25.00 cancellation fee.

Now we have to wait till Monday to try and cancel our hotel accommodation.

Just checked the website again and we may not have a $25 cancellation fee with Onyx status.

For Onyx collectors, there is no charge. For Blue and Gold collectors, the charges are as follows:
· Change or cancel a Flight: $25 per person
· Change or cancel a Hotel or Car Rental: $25 per booking
· Change or cancel an Extra: $25 per booking
· Change or cancel a Package that does not include a flight:
· 21+ days prior to departure: $50 per person
· 8-20 days prior to departure: $100 per person
· 0-7 days prior to departure: $250 per person
· Change or cancel a Package that includes a flight:
· 21+ days prior to departure: $50 per person
· 8-20 days prior to departure: $100 per person
· 0-7 days prior to departure: $250 per person

In addition, all Packages are subject to applicable supplier rates and charges.

So very sorry this is happening to you.

Well this is just not the change needed right now for Airmiles. They can not handle their current service dept needs and to add a Travel dept to the mix is just so wrong.
I requested a call back a few weeks ago and was called back hours later only to have them say no more calls for the day and they could call me back next week???????????

Last place I'd want to need to be calling regarding a vacation issue is Airmiles.

I was thinking of booking a hotel in Niagara Falls Ontario the night of a concert I am going to in May but not now. I want to be able to cancel the hotel if the need arises. Now I guess I will be forced (ha ha) to book at Casino Niagara with a falls view room so we can make the trip fancy. My Sister and I are going to see a group that I follow.

I will switch hotel booking going forward using scene points. All on line booking and cancelling. Also if you do not have enough scene points no extra fees. You can use a combination of of scene points and cash. Again you have to book the refundable rate, not the non refundale rate. I have used scene points with zero isses several times.

This hotel room was booked with my daughter's air miles and she lives in Calgary, so the customer service hours are eastern standard time, Alberta is two hours behind Ontario. If she can't get it cancelled we will have to stay there.

Lesson learned I prefer the previous air miles hotel booking portal. Could book and cancel on line and the cancellation fee was $10 or $15 dollars.

It is 2024 and airmiles takes a giant step backwards with this new hotel cancellation policy. You can book online but not cancel online.

One more reason I'm happy I'm cashing out all my AM when grocery shopping and banking those dollars to spend how I see fit when I am ready to spend them.

Now if they would only allow all of us to tranfer miles between Dream and Cash. I'll get all the Dream miles over to cash and use them to purchase more groceries (and pocket the Cash value in my savings account for travel).

Just a bit up the river and on the other side Mort, our preferred room is the absolute furthest from ANYTHING else in the resort - top floor, end of the building, zero reason for anyone to walk past unless they are coming back from Riverside by foot, it is perfect for our style of vacation. Slow, peaceful, gentle clip-clop of the horses going past, boats going past on the river, and the ending booms of the fireworks from both MK and EPCOT are the subtle reminders of what we *could* do if we get bored of all the nothingness we fill our days with.

We had some pixie dust today.....been stalking 2 spots on the Savor the Savanna tour in April. Finally came thru today...book and now cant wait.
No kids so doing the Keys and now Savor...should leave kids at home all the time.
