Day 6: Dinner at the The Grand
Once arriving back at the resort, we napped, and we over napped, by like an hour. Which was fine, because we needed it! We then decided to go down to the pool, for about 20 minutes (I keep wishing I got more pictures of it, and that we spent more time there!).
Once sitting down to dry off… Kenny and I had the discussion of what to do that night. We were so tired and liked the pool so much, we could have just stayed there… and we almost decided to do that.
However, Kenny convinced me that we should go to our schedule dinner at least. And then I decided we’d decide if we wanted to go back to MK after that. So back up to the room we went for getting dressed for dinner! And then we took a cab over to the Grand Floridian.
And I was wowed by that place! Oh my goodness it is gorgeous. After checking in at 1900 Park Fare, they said they were about 40 minutes behind… and we were 30 minutes early! We were pretty worried we’d never get to eat, but we went out to the lobby to wait. And within 20 minutes we were seated... So, we actually got seated 10 minutes early!
Before getting any food… we got to meet Prince Charming.
And then we went to go get food. I have absolutely no pictures or remember what we got next to the Guinness stew and the strawberry soup. We also order drinks, and they were waaay too strong for me.
Up next was Drizella and Lady Tremaine! They were both great. Lady Tremaine kept wanting to know what good gossip we had on Cindy. And apparently Drizella eats mayo out of the jar.
By this time, all the characters had gone out for their breaks, so we got dessert. And I actually have some pictures of those! We were waaay too full to finish them though.
Then it was announced… Cinderella was coming out! And then Prince Charming! And the dance is a great touch, and this little girl (She was probably about 3 or 4) with her mom came up to watch them dance. Once they stopped, Charming asked the little girl if she wanted to dance too, and she just put her head in her hands and turned the brightest shade of red. It was adorable.
After the dance, we got to see Cinderella… for the 3rd time this trip!
And after some VERY long waiting, we got to see Anastasia.
After seeing all these pictures I've realized my hair was a complete mess! Oops.
But overall, this was probably the best character interactions and dinner we had for the entire trip. It will end up on our must-do list, just like Tusker House I think. I'm really glad we decided to go.
So what do we do next? Stay tuned to find out! (I’m really dragging this out!
