So, hey, I thought i'd start posting with a very undetailed trip report (maybe, I don't know yet), some pics
I have a few but it seems i've missed alot of stuff
Such is life
We left on a Tuesday, Melbourne airport direct to LAX then via Atlanta and onto Orlando.
I find myself spending alot of time looking out the window on aeroplanes, I love trying to see things, although from such great heights you generally don't see alot.
Poor DS was exhausted and I think suffering a bit of dehydration and low blood sugar as he threw up on the nice slippery walkway outside Malibu Al's, a nice watery invisible liquid, I made my DH stand there while I went to the counter to ask them to call a cleaner as I could just imagine a cartoon type scene with people doing that run on the spot in all that vomity goodness.
I was a bit surprised when approaching the counter to ask them to call somebody I was told "we don't look after that, you'll have to speak to one of the Delta people"
Seriously?
After that I felt like I should have left all that invisible vomit for somebody to walk through and slip in, then we'd find out whose responsibilty it was to look after it
When I returned back to the spot there was a man there (just a guy travelling with his family) handing napkins to DH helping him clean it, what a guy!
I don't remember alot of the flight from LAX to Atlanta, but when getting on the plane I heard an Aussie accent, turned out to be a fellow Diser who I spoke to all the way from Atlanta to Orlando, and she shared her starburst with us
Poor DS was still throwing up on the plane, he did make it into the bag though, there was nothing to clean up
Flying from LAX to Atlanta though I did see alot of clouds and these weird looking crop circles
You can only just see them, but I found them pretty amazing (you know what they say about small minds and all )
We were staying at the Hyatt Orlando Airport, a great hotel.
I think we paid about $100 for it, and it was great not having to get onto more transport to get to a hotel for the night.
We ended up having McDonalds for dinner
We were all pretty exhausted and went to sleep very easily, but woke up very early.
So there we all are at 7am having a swim in the airport hotel swimming pool and watching the aeroplanes
Breakfast was easy
DS had Krispy Kreme, DH and I had Quiznos, definately a fan
I didn't take a pic inside the room, I always forget that bit!
But here is one of the rooms and the terminal at the bottom.
I would definately stay here again
