Well, my BIG birthday is fast approaching (cringe) and I'm trying to figure out what to do that week to get my mind off it!! We were planning a big trip, but we've run into problems financially. Anyway, we figure that we can spend about $400 total for hotel, food, activities, etc... This certainly limits our possibilities!! Our week long trip is now likely just a couple days trip. I'm wondering if I can look to you again for some ideas??? Here's a little info. We live in Southern Ontario. This trip would be the last week of October so the fall colour will likely be over by then. We go to Niagara, Toronto and St.Jacob's/Elora fairly often so I'd like to try somewhere else. Thanks so much for your ideas!

Tape it up on a wall.

And throw a Dart at it and where it lands is where you go!

or

Try Hockley Valley Resort.

Scratch
:smooth:

How about Mackinaw Island. It's beautiful in the fall, so is Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario. You could do the Agawa Canyon Train ride?
I love seeing all the fall colours on the ride north.
Just a thought!

I.e. ready for 90 minute presentation. I know Tremblant has been pressuring me. If money is a question you could go there. It is lovely. Carriage House at Horseshoe also does it.

Toronto still doing he Mama Mia/Lion King Hotel packages + Dinner for $150/person/night. Includes discounts to places like AGO or ROM.....

Ohhh, thank you everyone! I'm feeling better now about the possibilities. I was so down about not going to WDW, but I think fun can still be had! In the meantime, I'll keep coming here to get my Disney fix. Thanks everyone!!

Go to the Windsor or Orillia casino that is a few days of fun for you and the chance of winning some CASH

The New York Finger Lakes...
Very pretty at that time of year and they have wine tours/tasting...dinner at B & B places with wine pairings etc..

Perfect for a weekend away!

Kingston is also a beautiful place to spend the weekend. Take a tour of the 1000 islands, wonder through some of their great stores, visit a museum.

I was in Kingston for the weekend 2 weeks ago getting my dd settled into Queen's!!!

Kingston is so pretty...great little shops especially on Princess St and The Secret Garden is a beautiful little B&B with rooms for $129 a night and breakfast by candlelight!

Also a fabulous restaurant called Chez Piggy and a great Greek one called Mino's. I'm going back this weekend to see my daughter and the town...it really is lovely.

P.S...Chez Piggy has a great sister restaurant too called 'Panchanko' super goodies and then some!
