we are thinking about booking a 3 Br villa in Jan 2020. After read the description and saw the floor plan, I am a little bit confused. Per description, there is One queen size sleeping couch, per floor plan, there is one couch in the 1st floor main living area and one in 2nd floor loft area. So, which one is the sleeping couch? Thank you in advance.

There are sleeping spaces for 14, but occupancy is limited to 12. The extra sleeper sofa just makes it easier to sleep everyone.

Kidani has two sleeper couches, one on each floor of the Grand Villa. The red couches are the sleeper sofas.

Jambo has one sleeper couch in the living room, again the red couch.

The Kidani GVs are excellent. As to those couches., there is a pull-out queen couch in the living room and then in the rather large alcove at the top of the stairs, there is another pull-out queen couch which also has a dresser and a large TV. The extra sleeping spaces make it ideal when you have those that would prefer having their own sleeping area rather than be with others in one of the bedrooms. Note, the room capacity is still 12 despite having sleeping spaces for 14.

The living room, dining room and kitchen are essentially one large room. The living room ceiling is at the top of the second floor and most impressive are the floor to ceiling windows in the living room for viewing the savanna. The ground floor has a long balcony running across the rooms on the first floor and then there are also balconies from each bedroom on the second floor. There are four bathrooms including the large master, and the washer/dryer is conveniently on the first floor.

The key issue is location. All are fine for having good savanna views — even the two standard view GVs on the Pembe savanna, which lacks giraffes. But distance from a room in Kidani to pool, lobby or bus can be extreme and a number of the savanna view GVs are at the ends of the wings, about 1/3 mile walk down a hallway to Get to anything. Thus, if you get savanna view, I would request a room near the Rafiki elevator on the north wing, which is near the pool, or near the Timon elevator on the south wing if you want to be closest to the bus stop. The two standard views are both in the same area and thus location request is pointless, and they have long walks to amenities. If you have a car, parking is beneath a building and with three elevators along each wing, you can usually get a parking place fairly close to room no matter where your room is located.
