Riase still has 12 pages of bed bath and beyond gift cards for up to 9% off. Of course, those gift cards are now worthless. I was really surprised that the discounts never went higher than that - I was expecting at least 20 - 30% off. Isn't taking a 30% loss on a gift card better than taking a 100% loss?

I tried to buy gift cards at my Circle K using my Citi 10% offers and two stations told me that gift cards can only be bought with cash. I know I bought some Taco Bell and Wendys there using a Chase offer last around Octoberish time frame last year, so maybe this is new.

Absolutely! Just keep track of the Disney gift cards used for payment. If you have to cancel, they will refund the money to each gift card you use for payment.

You're welcome! We've paid for our entire trip coming up in November with discounted gift cards from Sam's Club & BJ's Warehouse sales. I had a Disney rep tell me to keep the gift cards in case we'd need a refund, so I number them and keep track of the amounts on a spreadsheet.

For those hitting the Sam’s Club $200 DGC, Shopkick has 24 kicks/$1 at Sam’s. It’s supposed to exclude GCs, but my two orders from last night tracked instantly. They’ll stay pending for 90 days (as normal with Sam’s), but I’m hopeful they’ll pay out, as my two orders almost gave me enough kicks for another $75 in DGC!

Yes!

I haven't paid for a room only in years, glad to see things things haven't changed. I will add @MadderAdder after combining your DGC in $1,000 increments and labeling them, do not add anymore funds to your "Resort" gift cards due to the possible refund.

You would think so.....

But sadly Disney has not created a way for guest to save a DGC for use in the App. You can use a DGC when doing a Mobile Order, but you have to manually add that info each time.

It's really annoying that you can't. I consolidate to one gift card and keep the info in a note on my phone so that I can copy and paste it reasonably quickly.

After perusing the Shopping thread once again, I couldn't resist 2 more Sam's GC's to use for food and merch. I really need to cut myself off and not even check to see if it re-sets again! I know DH will want to pay for some things even though it's a better deal if I do it with my stacked gift card discount + new Discover card bonus. Silly man.

Newer physical GC's have a nifty barcode on the back that you can scan for mobile orders. used it during our last trip.

Yeah been there done that... Coming up on COVID had no intentions of canceling so loaded everything to a prep card and dumped it into the reservation each time it maxed out at $1k... Well had to cancel since Disney was closed, Cast member was really nice and issued several new e-cards but took a few extra days. So the $ is not lost, just takes extra time to get it issued back.
