Anyone else didn't get a voucher when purchasing Choice Gift Cards?

Back when I posted about the choice gift cards being excluded, Shoprite had the choice gift cards which worked like the old happy cards that could be used in store. So you could buy the one for GameStop and then go into GameStop and use it to purchase an Amazon gift card (which Shoprite doesn't carry.)

However, since then Shoprite has switched all their choice gift cards to the ones that require online redemption (see picture below). So there really is no point anymore in getting these choice gift cards.

Nope. You can only get the discount through MDE and only with a credit card.
If you want to use a DGC, you have to purchase through ShopDisney or on-site, and you will not get the resort stay discount.
Oh, and it shows up weird on cc statements so don't expect to get extra points if using a Disney Visa.

  • Expires 3/25/23.

If you see a credit card offer listed, it means you can use it to buy DGC.

For several years we stayed at WDW resorts but with all the price gouging and negative changes we moved to Universal. We still attended MNSSHP but not as resort guests. This fall we booked a split stay, WDW & Universal.
The cost of our room only at WDW is $200 more per night compared to club level at Universal. Thank goodness we don't have to pay for WDW park tickets!

I was denied by Chase for 3 Disney gift cards through Shop Disney on an offer that ended in January on 3 different cards. I called and emailed for review, and was told no both times. My son used a Chase card for the same deal and had no problem getting the credit,
