I can have my Daytona 500 party on Sunday night and not worry about having to get up early.
Yes!!!! Have a great party! We were watching the qualifying and wishing we were there right now. Dh wants to see Jimmy Johnson race. He was " retired" last year when we were there :sad2: We are hoping to hear that he might be driving when we go to the Vegas race in 14 days :cheer2:
Not sure how much I'll be able to check in while I'm away so wondering if there are any Princess' on the ship I should take my photo with princess: 😉
Have a fantastic trip!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Went to Metro earlier today for the weekend BMO air miles offer and let me tell you I went straight to all the gift card racks right in front of customer service, and it wasn’t until I checked the last rack did I find ONE Disney gift card. Last one. Loaded $500 on it at the self checkout - well the cashier there did it for me then proceeded to hold onto the gift card until the receipt came out so she could verify it.

Seems there are others in my area doing this same offer…last time I went a few weeks ago, there were several stacks of the Disney GCs. I hope they get more in before next weekend, or I’m going to have to drive around to find another location.

We barely fill up on gas for our two vehicles, both DH and I work from home most of the week. So relying on our two air miles credit cards and also online shopping to earn miles. But we aren’t buying as much stuff anymore, I think once I redeem our miles for UO/WDW tickets for our next trip, I am done collecting.

I am so struggling with getting any airmiles with Metro right now.
I am not buying TP or facial tissues for $13.99 each (have to buy 2) to get 20 airmiles ,,, nope not happening.
Everything else has super low airmiles attached. I guess I somehow hoped that Metro would pick up it's game after Sobeys/Foodland left but so far no go for me.
I don't have my BMO card anymore and not using more than a tank or 2 of gas each month. (retired & supply teaching very close to home now).
I think my days are numbered here. It's been a good adventure!
Guess I'll redeem my airmiles for a nice Disney/Universal hotel stay for next year.

Hugs Mel

Yes it is too bad that Metro doesn't do the gift card deal that Sobeys used to do. You know buy a $150 gift card earn 100 miles. The Metro is too far away for me to do my normal shop there so it is only for special times. I guess I could give one of my cards to my Sister and have her cash in the 95 miles to earn 25 miles deal.

Thank you for posting this! I did not realize the plum membership program was ending. I'll have to check and see how many points we have on there to use up if possible.

The Plum Membership program is not ending but apparently your points expire every month if you haven't used your account.
From the website.
Do my plum points expire?
plum points do expire if you don’t make a qualifying purchase within 12 months. If your points are set to expire in February 2023, we will extend the expiration of any points to March 31, 2023.

almost but not quite right - points expire if you've not done anything in 12 months. The ONLY exception is related to the current downtime - if your points were set to expire in February they've extended that until March. They've just added an extra month for people who rarely shop and have the unfortunate timing that fell in mid February

I am like the rest of you finding it very difficult to collect miles these days. Thank goodness for my BMO CC. I purchased $500 worth of Metro GC the other day (waited until the AM posted from my test GC a few weeks ago). The cashier called up to the office and got approval to sell them to me. There was a sign posted right there about scams etc. Guess they were just being careful.

Anyway the BMO offer works out to be a better offer than the old Sobey GC deals (at the moment). I plan on stocking up in the next two weeks and netting 1500AM for $1500 in Metro cards. Shouldn't take too long to go through that in groceries as most of my shopping these days seems to be at Food Basics and Metro anyway. I don't know why it took me so long to put two and two together with this offer.

I'll keep collecting (all go to cash miles now) until I am able to use up the Dream miles I have in my account(s). When I use the cash miles I put the funds used into a savings account for future travel. After the Dream miles are gone I'm finished with collecting AM unless they change things and make it fun again. It was fun while it lasted.

We will need to start a new thread to keep in touch with one and other. Anyone have a good name for what we might call our post Airmiles thread. Something that pays homage to the Airmiles Alert.

Easy-peasy, I'll just change the title of the thread, no need to create a new one and potentially lose some of the members of this amazing family! We can still add any heads-up posts on the off chance that some incredible offer pops up :D

Sometimes I feel all alone over on the Scene+ thread.:sad2:
Groceries expenses are still going up and Nestle (one of the largest producers of food for Canada) just said that they predict price increases for the next year.

Maybe we could chit chat and also post when we see specials and deals on groceries ,,,and still post when Airmiles
has specials and offers.:grouphug:

*** One thing I just realized about the cash back from Scene+ is it takes 3,000 points to get 20$ cash back BUT it is only 2,500 points to get some of their 25$ gift cards. (Wish they had Starbucks gift cards).
Time to rethink my points/airmiles strategy.

Hugs Mel🤗

Used this offer for the third time today. I picked up 5 $100 metro gift cards, plus $15 worth of their own products including a ham (loaded offers) for a total of $505 after my $10 air miles cash, earned 22 airmiles and will receive 500 air miles for using my BMO Mastercard. Will go back tomorrow for the 4th time.

Plan on picking up 5 $100 metro cards gift cards next weekend for another 500 air miles.

Thanks! I didn't realize they expire after 12 months if not used. Hmm.. I'll have to wait until the website is back up to check the balance.

I thought every 1,000 points = $10 off groceries?
