Oof, I wish someone would tell Mirabel less chat with people coming up for pictures. This line is sloooooooow. Then again, I'm not a character interaction person in general, I just want to get my photo and move on.

Miguel pre race capped line maybe a dozen people after us

Got in Maribel line 645 ish was told not guaranteed sister went to Jose and was told same Pancito still open met now walking to brother in law’s car to head to pop

For MW planning, can you share where the pre-race character meets were located? Not that I would drive myself/have DH drop me off at an even more ridiculously early time to try to avoid the lines.....

Bus vs car question: We are staying at Saratoga Springs, first time. Will also have a car for the first time. Should I take the car or bus? WWYD? For 10k and HM

I am 100% Team Car. 1. Because I hate buses under any circumstances. 2. Because I prefer to control my own destiny - I’ve seen too many issues with buses not showing up, getting lost, having long lines… nope: I’ve never had any issues coming or going in my own car. 3. I like having a chocolate milk waiting for me in my car post-race.

On my bus and headed to CBR! My room was ready early so that’s nice. Headed to expo right after I drop luggage. I’m in a RunATL shirt if it matters. Running the challenge! Won’t have a cool outfit either day but I’ll be in a UGA tank for the 10k (GO DAWGS!) and a Racing Louisville tank for the half. Good luck to all!!!

Yep. I finished at 6:06, grabbed my gear bag and headed right to Mirabel and didn’t get to her until 7:37

I'm glad I did Mirabel before the race. Her line was long beforehand but looked crazy after. Jose and Panchito were really short when I got in them, right around 6:00. Looks like I got Jose at 6:07 and Panchito at 6:15. By that time Miguel was crazy and I headed to a bus.

This sounds fun. Do you recall how long you waited for a picture with Mirabel? My daughter loves her, so I'm sure that we'll be waiting in line either during MW or Princess.

I think I waited around 25 minutes for Mirabel. I got in her line around 3:45

Worth noting they closed her line before 4:00

That's not too bad. The anxiety of deciding whether to wait in line or join the corral would have stressed me out if this was before the Half or Marathon.

Agreed. Because it was the 5k I was willing to do it.

A little disappointed with the on-course characters. Olaf, Duffy (I think that’s the bear from Tokyo Disney, right?), Remy and Emile, and Caballero Donald (the only one I stopped for).

Agree! I didn't stop for anyone and only got Panchito pre-race.

I think I saw you one corral over.

Yay! I got corral A but jumped back to B to walk with my step-dad. I got so many comments. It was SO fun to run in!

WOW now I wish I'd waited for her pre-race but also not as disappointed that I didn't stick around after.

Loved the weather this morning and the fact that we were done and back to the hotel by 7! I'm sitting on my plane for the flight home. Have fun, those of you staying for the 10K and/or half.
