The Oogie Boogie Bash 2022 Thread (ALL DATES SOLD OUT)

Soooo.. any guesses based on the video? I think the Sanderson sisters.. and mother gothel
Is that video really it? I'm confused because Facebook is saying:
The live video should start soon
You'll be able to watch the live video when the event host goes live.

Does it really make sense to do an event for a less than a minute video? There has to be more right?

TBH, I really don't care for Hocus Pocus. I thought I enjoyed it when I was like 8 but watching it about a year ago creeped me out. I didn't even make it 10 minutes in.

Mother Gothel is fine though haha!

I was thinking Gothel and Sanderson Sisters with Candles being for sisters. Then a friend pointed out this image...

And now I am back to square one. lol

Okay, my guess is Mother Gothel (the image from above is correct, screenshot from "mother knows best"9.

Second one must be Madam Mim. Flower in a teapot wilting - that is from Sword in the Stone.

My guess is Gaston for the tea pot. The flower petal drops similarly to the one in the live action BATB film. As long as it's not the Hocus Pocus sisters, anything is fine lol

Thank you!!!! I was so confused. I’m like they created an entire Facebook event for a 30 second video with no announcement??? Seriously?!?!

I wonder if we’re getting more immersive treat trails or if they are replacing villains from last year.

my guess is we are getting more. They added last year to what they had in 2019.

Oh weird! I feel like that's an obscure film so it will be interesting to see if people know who she is in line.
IMHO, one of the better efforts in Disney animation history. Possibly my favorite of all. A favorite of our daughter when at about age four learned how to operate the VCR. Almost wore the tape out. Great memories!!

I'm not sure how I missed it, as I've seen most Disney movies except for some of the newer ones. I actually didn't realize there was a Sword in the Stone Disney movie :o

You are in for a treat!!! Make the most of the event. Popcorn and candy. Family. Big screen TV. It was directed by one of the "Nine Old Men," Wolfgang Reitherman. Two of his sons voiced young Arthur, the hero of the story. It was the last animated film released before Walt died.

Some more trivia to add to the mix.

Walt Was an Inspiration for Merlin
In adapting the literary work, Peet incorporated Walt Disney—his own personal “wizard”—into the character of Merlin. “Walt the wizard never knew that I patterned Merlin the magician after him when I wrote the script,” Peet later recalled. “In his book, T.H. White describes the wizard as a crusty old curmudgeon, argumentative and temperamental, playful at times, and extremely intelligent. Walt was not a curmudgeon and he had no beard, but he was a grandfather and much more of a character. In my drawings of Merlin, I even borrowed Walt’s nose.”
