The Oogie Boogie Bash 2022 Thread (ALL DATES SOLD OUT)

I did more digging cause why not. (For the record I love data..)

2017 tickets went on sale July 17
2018 tickets on sale June 12
2019- first OBB- tickets sale end of April
2020- canceled
2021- July 13
2020- ?!!!?!!!!!!!!!!?!!

I'm still hoping for Mid June to early July....this uncertainty is killing my "planning mojo":rotfl:

Anyone want to advise on a game plan for when tickets are announced?

We've got one park per day tickets for 4 days and our possible park days are October 12th, 13th, 14th, 15th and 16th. We haven't yet decided on whether we're doing OBB, because it will probably depend on the prices/party days when they're eventually announced.

If party days are typically Thursday, Saturday and Sunday, what does everyone recommend is the best thing to do on those days?

If we do get OBB tickets, which days should I aim for park reservations if I want two days at each park?

If we don't get OBB tickets, what days should we try and get reservations for?

my birthday is October 13th, so ideally I'd like to spend that day at Disneyland, however I'm willing to change that if the overwhelming advice is "omg Disneyland will be so busy that day, you'll be miserable" 🤣

I'm here to rain on the parade. We don't like the bash. Mainly because I'm not a local who NEEDS to go to this event. Plus, I'm not a Halloween nut like so many seem to be turning into - you guys treat it like Christmas.

We have a week off from school in October. All OBB does is mess with the schedule of 5-day tickets in the park and mess up when I can see WoC at DCA. A bit of a pain. I suppose I'd be ok with it...if it were affordable for a family of 5. But it's not even close.

I'm here to see when I need to adjust my plans for which park I'm hitting on which day. OK... Send the flames!

No flames from me! I find Halloween parties totally annoying when I'm not attending. It makes planning park days tough, and getting kicked out of the park at 6pm? Hate that. It's not something I would splurge on for my party of 5, but this year just my daughter and I are attending, so that makes it doable.

Party's are typical not on saturdays. So the two possible dates for your days would be the 13th and the 16th.

Disneyland will most certainly be busier on party days.. BUT if you go to DCA those days you will miss nighttime entertainment. So you will just have to decide. We have almost the same dates and I can tell you what I am planning to do.. of course I'm waiting on official dates. We are also staying on site so we will have the added advantage of early entry.. we are going 11-18

12- Wednesday - DCA
13- Thursday disneyland
14-Friday DCA
15-Saturday Disneyland
16- no reg park day. OBB tickets
17- monday DCA

This also assumes early entry on the rotating schedule like before..

Well, in looking at the availability calendar just now, it shows through Oct 1st...which means 30 more days to cover all of October (and therefore OBB)...so I'm guessing sometime after 4th of July, to give folks time to celebrate, before the craziness of bookings begin. But that's just a guess at this point. I sure hope it is, as I would like to nail down my plans already.

We are supposed to be going to DLR in 2 weeks but now we may have to reschedule and mid-October is really the only time we can do it.

What time do the parties typically end up being? And how much do they cost per person?

I think they have started at 6 in the past, with entry allowed at 3pm. They went until 11pm last year. Cost has been $125-175 per person depending on the night.

Wow. Pricey. Think we'll need to pass since my son likely won't want to be in the parks late enough to rationalize that.

I booked my flight and park reservations last night since southwest had their 40% off fall flights sale. We will be there 9/15-9/18 hoping for a party 9/15 or 9/16. Now to book my hotel...
