Costco final payment problem

We are booked through Costco and need to pay before May 19th. When I try to make a payment I get an error. There is plenty of room on the card I’m trying to use. I’m going to contact our bank and Costco today but I’m just wondering if anyone else has had difficulty.

Also this is exactly why it’s a good idea not to leave payment to the last minute! I’m glad we have some time to sort this out.

Ah ok. I have never used them so I didn't know how it worked. I would definitely be on the phone with Costco. Sounds like an error with their website if you're sure your card has available credit. :)
 
Try a different browser.
It’s a good tip but I’ve tried various browsers and devices. Called the bank who say Costco is sending the transactions through at 0 dollars so seems like a problem on the Costco side. Guess I need to cal.
 
I had a similar problem too when making a payment today. It would just spin and spin, and then finally take me back to the booking page, which still shows a balance due. And there was no charge on my credit card.

What worked for me: Call Costco Travel; if you get a busy signal, then go to the Costco Travel Help Center website, search for "trouble making payment", and there is a link there to a Google Form where you can say you're having trouble making a payment. A Costco rep called me 2 hours after I submitted the form, and he was able to take my credit card info and put the payment through instantly. He said that their self-service payment systems were having trouble communicating between Costco and Disney today.
 
About 10 days ago I was trying to make a final payment and they had a note on the top of the screen that basically said, "if you're having trouble making a payment, fill out this form" - so I think there was some kind of issue going on. That note isn't there but they do have a "cruise self-service" section that includes this language:
  • Use this form to request assistance if your payment has failed when attempted through your account at www.costcotravel.com. We will work these as fast as we can. Expect a call from Costco Travel within 24 - 48 hours
Not sure i'm allowed to link to the page but look at the top of the costco page and click on the link that says "Need assistance with your cruise booking? Check out our cruise self-service options." The payment one is the first one on the list.

My issue was I paid the amount Costco said I had on my balance, and then it said I had a different amount still due. I did call and the woman was super helpful (caveat, I spent several hours on the phone). She contacted Disney who had a 3rd number for the amount due... she waited for a supervisor who then had to go to the DCL accounting team. The Costco person had to call me back several times, which is above and beyond service for them. Eventually the payment went through (random amount that DCL showed I owed... NOT the amount Costco showed), and I was able to book my tastings as soon as my window opened :-). I agree with the "make your payment early" sentiment in case anything gets messed up.

I had this problem today with trying to make final payment on a DCL cruise booked through Costco on the Costco website. But I also had the problem directly with DCL on their website for the down payment on a new cruise. So I wonder if it is the DCL credit card processing that Coscto is running our cards through? I tried 3 separate cards and none worked and have never had this issue before with either Costco or DCL. A lot of issues with DCL so no longer a surprise the wheels have come off there.
 
Called Costco and got it paid. The agent indicated that DCL’s recent ‘upgrade’ created a disconnect between the Costco payment site and DCL so word of warning if you are booked through Costco and need to make a payment soon, you may need to call Costco so account for that in your planning.

I’ve only booked guaranteed rates through Costco online and paid in full at time of booking. You shouldn’t have to call to book.

Based on my conversation with Costco today, you may not be able to book and pay online with Costco at the moment cause of an issue between Disney’s system and theirs so what has previously worked may not work right now. We’ve never we had a problem paying online with Costco before today.

I booked the 9 night July cruise thru Costco a few days ago online. My payment went right thru. I have the final payment on another cruise due next month. Hope I don’t have issues!

Just allow yourself a bit of leeway so that if there is a problem you have time to get it sorted out. We don’t have to be PIF in May 19 for activities so there was some wiggle room. I’d have been panicked if I’d been trying to do it just a day or do before

I tried to get through to DCL last week and hung up after 3 hours. I don't think the wave for 2023 has anything to do with it. There are probably a lot of people canceling this year's cruises and booking restricted rates, along with all the other discounted rates people are calling to book. It's been this way for two months so who knows.
