Menu Revamp Coming to Backlot Express at Disney’s Hollywood Studios This Month

Starting March 29, this menu is getting a revamp with delicious dishes including a Cuban Sandwich, Smoked BBQ Pulled Pork Burger, Teriyaki Tofu Bowl, and Chicken Southwest Salad. These dishes don’t just look great, they’re packed with delicious flavors and ingredients. Just look at them!



And what meal is complete without a sweet finish. The Wookiee Cookie is back and not one to miss on your next adventure to Disney’s Hollywood Studios.

Ugh. That semi open space is going to be so congested now!! Used to be such a nice walk from the Poly to the GF. And that building is going to dwarf the longhouses. Not very authenticaly Polynesian....

I'm not a fan of the new tower at all. We were all set to try to be a resale of Poly, but I'm not so into it now. It doesn't fit the aesthetics at all. It's really going to take away from the peacefulness of the resort in my opinion. I guess we'll look at VGF instead? I don't even know anymore.

Disney + TV-MA Content Update is Available for US Users ... Netflix Marvel Content is Live

- So far for some reason they don't have the Netflix shows like Daredevil streaming in 4K ??? ... I got 4K when it was on Netflix. Hopefully D+ updates this

- I 'm hearing many unconfirmed rumors that if you're in the US and use an Europe or Canadian proxy via VPN you can get access to the Star/Hulu stuff ... people are reporting after setting the TV-MA rating and using a VPN they can watch Walking Dead, Pam/Tommy, Fresh etc ... all via D+. Sounds like a possible unintended loophole

Blue Bayou Restaurant Closing April 21 for Refurbishment at Disneyland

Blue Bayou Restaurant will be closing on April 21, 2022 for an unknown length of time for refurbishment. The refurbishment could be related to the restaurant, or it could be related to the ongoing Pirates of the Caribbean refurbishment that is slated to last through “early summer”.

Just a heads up for anyone in the US setting up parental controls on accounts, some Disney films are not on the child-friendly accounts here in the UK, like Dumbo & Peter Pan (because of the warning about outdated themes) and oddly Treasure Planet (Not sure why on this one)
Also, on child-friendly accounts, the auto-play feature doesn't work, you'll get a notification at the end of an ep about the next one, but will need to say ok to playing the next ep

We had a Cuban at Backlot express last September, so I’m not sure why they are touting this as ‘new’

Fwiw, it was actually pretty good. Better than the burger we got on the same order. That and the Wookie Cookie were winners of that meal.

The burger at backlot express is up there for most disgusting one I’ve ever had. How do you mess up a beef burger….

They also touted the Wookie Cookie as "returning"....I didn't know it was gone????
