Disney's Club Level (CL) Information & Questions

The Nespresso machine they had was a newer one then the one they had when we did club level in February 2020. Pretty easy to use with instruction haha
When I stayed there right before closure it was apparently brand new, and I had a CM immediately step in and show me how to use it. He was like "it's pretty early....you look tired....I'm about to give you a crash course in the best cup of coffee on property!" lol I was too tired to remember any of it so he had to show me again later, but I loved it.

Edit to add: they could have even changed it since then, I don't even know. I just know I love that I can go in the lounge for coffee any time of day and make it just like I like it. It beats going to the parks, or somewhere else on property, and waiting in line (and paying)

Just had a wonderful phone call from Joe, cast member at the Inn Keepers Club welcoming me for my trip next week! I loved it! It was great to talk to him. I also heard JJ yelling hi in the background. Jim and I are so looking forward to our trip in just 5 more days. Joe was calling to see if we needed anything for our trip and if we had any allergies to let the chefs in the lounge know about. Cannot wait to see all of my Boardwalk family on Tuesday!
edit to add, Lene just messaged me to let me know she was also yelling hi in the background! Love my Boardwalk family!

This one had this big handle that you pulled down after putting in the pod. If you then didn’t push the cup size fast enough the machine would just waste the pod. My husband and I each did that once. :rotfl: :rotfl:

Yep, same machine, the CM was like “it’s like going to Vegas…but not as fun…and all you lose is the pod, and that’s ok ‘cause we have more” lol

CL CMs aren’t supposed to take tips (there are CM rules in play) and generally speaking there’s nothing about a CL stay that requires tipping above what you would otherwise perhaps do at WDW - valets, bell services, housekeeping if inclined, etc.

Personally I keep track of names and make sure to write to guest services or talk to a resort manager if I want to show my appreciation/gratitude for someone. I keep a Notes list on my iPhone and try to jot it down right then or else I’m bound to forget names. Sometimes it’s hard while in the middle of a trip and running around, but I try to tell myself to do it.

I’ve read reports of people that bring little gifts from home or similar…
^^^ This! CMs can be terminated for accepting monetary tips if not in a tipped role, so while it’s a gesture of kindness it can put them in a very awkward position (not that some won’t still take it, but they’re supposed to give it to management). They are allowed to accept gifts however, and that is very appreciated! If small gifts are too much of an inconvenience, it’s also really nice to leave feedback to their management team as it will go on their record card. None of this is expected though, It’s just a nice surprise when it does happen.

Tipping. I’m not sure but this year at every resort I stayed at they accepted tips. Many cm’s both new or veteran. I think the policy might have changed OR they can accept and put in a group “pot”?

Openly accepted not trying to be discreet.

???

Yes, it could very well go into a group pot. Once I give it I don't worry about it.

Does anyone know what restaurant makes the food for the Inn Keeper's club (BW concierge level)? Is there a place to view where the food comes from at each club level resort? Thanks!
I'm not sure what restaurant currently supplies the food; in the past it was a restaurant that has since closed. I do know that they have a chef preparing food on some nights. Any recent visitors know the answer?

Welcome to the thread, mefordis :wizard:

I am sure it is just the main Boardwalk kitchen. There was a time the food came from the different restaurants on the Boardwalk, except Big River Grill. They do have a main kitchen and I believe most of the food comes from there.

We got pixie dust sprinkled on us twice. When we were at POFQ at the start of the vacay we decided we were going to Uber over to Epcot. We had a dinner ressie that we were going to be late for. While standing out front a CM asked where we were going and we told him. He said I can give you a ride in the company van so we said okay! Next time when HS was getting way too crowded I asked my husband if we could go to the Poly for Tonga Toast. The bus driver for the GF said hop in, I'll drop you there. :thumbsup2

I really hope Club Level cash tipping doesn’t become a thing.
I won’t be, unless they bring the prices waaaaaay down. Of course I usually do CL solo, and 90% of the time get ignored by staff (I have never once had anyone bring me a drink, offer to bring me a drink, nothing….and I might be a tad salty about it). Aside from when I first get there I’m pretty much a ghost. I’ll eat my food, drink my coffee, and slide out.

What is the best way to show appreciation for certain staff members (email/phone number)? We had an amazing time at the BC CL and can’t say enough good things about the staff there and we had a wonderful interaction with a cast member at MK and wanted to give them recognition 😁

We never get drinks or anything brought to us either. We are a little introverted so I chalk it up to that but everyone is always incredibly nice. We are kinda in and out too. I’ve never tipped but we did bring a shareable gift once long ago. I felt weird about it so haven’t done it since lol!

So AP discounts came out through 7/7. My husband starts vacation 7/10🤦‍♀️
I’m sorry it doesn’t fall during your time off. I looked at the last 2 weeks of June and it was slim pickings for my dates. The regular discount I got was way better than the AP discount too. Have you looked at the the regular discounts? I don’t recall those date ranges.

I’ve used wdw.guest.communications@disneyworld.com in the past.

In December I wanted to give a cast compliment at Blizzard Beach and guest services gave me a card with this e-mail address: guest.services@disneyworld.com

It took like 3 weeks for a response, although in the past I’ve received faster acknowledgments. I think they are running behind on these kinds of things just given staffing/volume/etc.

You have to do it while there, but sometimes I send feedback using either: 1) the QR code on the resort TV scroll… 2) the QR code on the letter they leave in your room (getting this letter seems hit or miss for me)….3) clicking the link in the e-mail that usually comes from the resort around the first or second day of your stay (I mostly get this e-mail but sometimes don’t). These go to the on duty resort manager (if I’m not mistaken) and in my experience they really do read them.

Hope that helps.

That's ok. I'm just debating whether to renew my AP. With my oldest going to college I'm not sure we will have the time or money to go more then once. A good AP deal would sway me lol. I have a 4 day weekend in September and food and wine would be perfect.
